Am I actually into these guys, or am I just attached to the attention and the possibilities?

I’m 18 and I’ve been feeling really confused about a situation involving three guys. All three of them are very close friends and sit together in college, which makes everything feel even more complicated.

Guy 1: I’ve had a crush on him since the beginning of college, our vibes matched and our friends ship us together but We had a fight over something stupid and he overreacted , and now we barely talk. I still think about him, but I don’t really know what I feel anymore.

Guy 2: He’s one of my really close friends. We used to flirt alot, nothing serious. Then he told me he has a crush on someone else, so I stopped the flirting. but sometimes we flirt a little. We’re still very close friends and completely platonic. I don’t think I actually like him, but I sometimes find myself thinking about the possibility of something happening between us, and I don’t know why.

Guy 3: He used to flirt with me too, and I would give him a little attention back, but I never seriously thought about him. Recently he told me that he likes me, although he described it as a mild crush. I don’t think I feel the same way.

So basically, I have a crush on Guy 1, I’m weirdly attached to the possibility of something with Guy 2 even though I don’t think I like him, and Guy 3 likes me even though I don’t think I like him back.
And because all three are close friends, I see them together all the time. It makes the whole thing harder to mentally separate.

At the same time, I’ve been feeling kind of off about myself lately. I keep comparing myself to other people and feeling like everyone is figuring themselves out while I’m somehow falling behind. So I’m wondering if I’m putting too much emotional weight on these situations because I’m already feeling a little lost.

I don’t want to lead anyone on, and I don’t want to create drama between friends. I also don’t want to chase someone who has already told me he’s interested in someone else.

I guess I’m mainly trying to understand what I’m actually feeling and whether I’m overthinking all of this.

Has anyone experienced something similar? How do you tell the difference between genuinely liking someone, liking their attention, and being attached to the possibility of what could have happened?

Should I pursue IIT Madras BS in Management & Data Science alongside my BSc in International Finance ? Need honest advice

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in my first year of BSc in International Finance at HLCC, and I’m trying to figure out what direction I should take with my career.

My current goal is to eventually get into financial analyst / finance + analytics roles. I was also considering CFA, but I’m honestly quite dicey about it because it feels like almost everyone in finance is doing CFA. I’m not completely against it—I’m thinking I could do CFA after/alongside graduation—but I don’t want to blindly collect qualifications without knowing whether they actually add value.

Recently, I came across the IIT Madras BS in Management & Data Science program and it sounds really interesting because it combines data science, analytics, management, finance and economics. IITM’s Foundation level includes Mathematics for Data Science I, Statistics for Data Science I, Computational Thinking, Economics, Financial Accounting, Business Statistics, etc.

The problem is that I did not take Mathematics in Classes 11–12, so I have basically no proper higher-secondary maths background. I can handle basic coding/Python and I’m willing to work hard, but I’m worried about the actual mathematics and statistics workload.

So I’d really appreciate honest opinions from people who are currently doing the program or have completed it:
How difficult is the mathematics and statistics actually? Is it manageable for someone without Class 11–12 Maths?

Does IITM genuinely build the maths from the basics, or do they assume you already know a lot?

How much time per week would I realistically need if I’m doing this alongside my regular BSc?

Is the workload manageable with a full-time college degree, or does it become overwhelming?

How difficult are the weekly assignments, quizzes and exams?

Is the Management & Data Science degree useful specifically for someone targeting financial analyst / finance + data / business analytics roles?

Would doing this be more valuable for my career than spending the same time developing finance skills, internships, Excel/SQL/Python, etc. and eventually doing CFA?

Most importantly, would you recommend that I register for the qualifier now, considering I’m only in first year and have time to prepare?

I’m asking because I don’t want to register just because “IIT Madras + Data Science” sounds impressive. I want to know whether it actually makes sense for my specific career direction.

Also, if anyone here came from a Commerce/non-Maths background, I’d especially appreciate your experience.

Thanks! Any brutally honest advice is welcome.

Is MacBook Neo worth it for a finance student?

Hey everyone, I’m entering college for a degree in finance and my budget is around ₹65,000. I’m considering buying the MacBook Neo, but I’m not sure if it would be the right choice for my needs.

I’ll mainly be using it for finance-related work like financial modelling, advanced Excel, coding (Python/SQL), projects, and CFA preparation. Does the MacBook Neo handle these tasks well, or would I be better off buying a Windows laptop?

I’m also a first-time Mac user, so I’m unsure about compatibility issues with Excel, finance software, etc. Would you recommend a MacBook, or should I look at other laptops around this budget (possibly touchscreen options)?

Would appreciate recommendations and advice from finance students/professionals. Thanks!

Failed miserable in CLAT

I made up my mind to become a lawyer when i was in grade 10th, so i choose commerce without maths in my 11th and 12th

i prepared for it through pw online course, the course itself was trash, and i had full time school and tutions so it was really hard for me to juggle between school prep and clat prep

in dec last year i skipped my schools preboards and gave clat, the paper pattern changed of logical section and i panicked, i legit cried after giving exam and wonder what would people think bcoz i was the only one in my sch to give this exam and everyone knew abt it my teachers were furious bcoz i skipped schools exam, i didn’t know how to face my teachers and everyone in school thought tht they could see my failure, but my frds and family were very supportive i also gave Christ law entrance test and got in Christ uni but i really wanted to go to NLU, my rank was around 19k which was really bad

so i was depressed but i worked hard in my class 12th and got 93%

so instead of taking a drop year for clat i decided to change my career
i have always being interested in the field of finance and economics so i decide to pursue a career in finance, as i did not have math in 11th and 12th, i was literally ineligible to enroll for bsc finance in NMIMS or Symbi or Christ or anywhere

thankfully in ahmd i got admission in course in a reputable college for the course of bsc international finance and i will be pursuing CFA plus FRM

is this the right choice i made?
