Ogryn Steeljacks
During a mercenary contract with an Imperial regiment, the Helwynd Irregulars found themselves assigned with the "Abhuman Auxilia" of the Imperial Guard force they were supporting. So appalled they were by the humans' treatment of the brave Ogryn, that when the contract ended they turned their guns on the Imperials and adopted the Ogryn into their Kinhost. The Ogryn, who believe they are still on assignment with their "fellow abhumans" have fallen in with the Kinhost's Steeljack unit, whose direct way of thinking is easier for the Ogryn to grasp (to say nothing of being the only members of the host untroubled by The Odour). The Ogryn Steeljacks have proven themselves fiercely loyal to their new Kin, and a terrifying surprise for anyone who opposes the Helwynd Irregulars.
Bit of a fun conversion after I noticed that Steeljacks and Ogryn have near-identical statlines outside of their weapons. I had these Bullgryn sitting built but unpainted in my Imperial Guard army and decided to try a little conversion. Basic weapon swap, remove the Aquilas with a hobby knife and a dremel (deliberately crude defacing on the shields, as befits an Ogryn), a few decals, and a paintjob to match the rest of the army, and I think they make a nice proxy for Melee Steeljacks.
