Made a tool to help predict my LADWP and prevent surprises, looking for real-world usage

Got sick of getting sucker punched by LADWP bills messing with my budget. I put together an iOS tool to help me predict my bill so I can actually plan for it now.

The idea is you enter your meter reading and it calculates what your estimated bill will be. It automatically uses the most up to date LADWP rates and you can track water, gas, and sewer/trash too. SoCal Edison is supported as well for West Valley folks. Working on Glendale and Burbank next.

No tracking, no sign-ups, no ads. Looking for a few locals to test their meter reads against it and verify the predictions against their statements. If you're interested in trying it out, let me know in the comments and I'll pass along full access!

Thanks!

Made a tool to help predict my bill and prevent true-up surprises (CA users)

I made an iOS tool to help me predict my upcoming electric bill since I was over getting sucker punched by high bills even after tracking my solar production all month. I thought you guys might find it useful.

The idea is to directly enter meter read data and calculate out the projected bill amount while factoring in all the little gotchas of electrical billing, e.g. fixed fees, generation vs. delivery, and annual true-up. I built in native support for LADWP, So Cal Edison, PG&E, and San Diego G&E. The app also supports water, gas, and sanitation projections but the emphasis is on electric.

I'm offering free access to anyone here who wants to test it, since I'm looking for real-world feedback on the math across different CA rate plans. If you’re interested, leave a comment and I’ll pass along full access!

Thanks!

Made a Utility Bill Prediction app -- novice dev, would love feedback

Hi Apple Dev community -- I know everyone has the same story of "I didn't like any of the apps that do XYZ so I made my own." Well that's my situation too. I was getting annoyed by surprise high electric bills that I hadn't properly budgeted for. I initially built myself an Excel tool that was clunky to use, so I switched to make an app instead.

It's called MeterWise and it's on the App Store here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/meterwise/id6792321207

Focus is on California utilities for now. I'm a novice dev and my only prior experience has been in Python so I'm eager for feedback on how to improve the app. Core functionality is free. Solar credit tracking a few other advanced features like Green Button integration are behind a one-time paywall of 4.99. No subscriptions. Just trying to cover my developer account fee (I know it's a long shot).

For anyone willing to look, thank you!

Made a Utility Bill Prediction app -- amateur dev, would love feedback

It's designed for a user to enter meter readings from their electric, water, and gas meters and then project out their bill. I'm in California so I set up native cloud-updated rates for the biggest CA utilities. I'm working to add more as I go on. For now it covers LADWP, SoCal Edison, PG&E, San Diego Gas & Electric, and So Cal Gas. There is built in flexibility to add custom rates so users with other utility companies can still use it.

I'm a novice dev and my only prior experience has been in Python so I'm eager for feedback on how to improve the app. Core functionality is free. Solar credit tracking a few other advanced features are behind a one-time paywall of 4.99. There are no subscriptions. Just trying to cover my developer account fee (I know it's a long shot).
