Pretty girls!

My local pet store has had some really pretty females lately! This yellow/orange is the biggest guppy I’ve seen!

Is she sick or in labor?

Her gravid spot changed from black to this color and now she has clear poop. She’s not interested in food and is pretty much swimming in one spot. Idk if this is labor or she’s sick. My water parameters are perfect and all the other guppies seem to be okay right now. How do i determine the difference or do i just have to wait it out?

Reddish Gravid Spot

Why is my guppies gravid spot a reddish color all of a sudden? The first pics are what it’s looking like now and the last one is 3 days ago. Does this mean she’s about to deliver it sick?

Wanting to add some color..

What’s the easiest lower maintenance colored(red/purple/orange/pink) plant i can add to my tank? Also looking to add some type of carpet plant as well so I’ll take suggestions on that also!

What type of snail is this?

So originally I only purchased a nerite snail along with some live plants. Well I’m guessing i had a hitchhiker on one of the plants which i assumed was a bladder snail. I have a few of those now, but all of a sudden I’m seeing this shaped snail. Nothing new has been added to the tank in over a month and last night was the first time I’ve seen one (2 actually) like this. The first pics are of the new snails and the last is the original bladder snail.

Does this mean my tank is finally cycled??

I’ve been testing my water every 2 days and this is the first time that both my ammonia and Nitrites were 0. Is it safe to start adding fish now?

Water issues

Okay i finally got my ammonia to zero but my nitrites are now high. Backstory on my tank.. it’s a little over a month and a half old and when we got it the pet store only told us to wait 1 week before adding fish…

i have since learned that was wrong and have done tons of research but im still learning.

I had guppies and the slowly started dying and then my tank got ich and now they are all dead 😩 i did treat the tank with nox-ich and the spots were no longer on the fish but i think with the water issues and the ich they were just too sick to survive. My last fish that died looked like it had the white spots on it again so im assuming there was still some of the parasites in the water. (I did multiple water changes used the meds for 3 days then skipped 1 day and treated one more day) so now all i have in the tank are 2 nerite snails (i had 3 but cannot find the 3rd one anywhere in the tank 🤷🏼‍♀️) and 2 hitchhiker bladder snails. How do i now get my tank water fully cycled and ich eliminated to make it safe to add new fish??

If you made it this far thanks for reading, im sure all that’s a jumbled mess. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Water Levels

My tank is a month old. I did not know to let it cycle for weeks before adding fish. I have since learned what i should have done but this is where I’m at now. Currently treating my guppies for ich. This is my water levels right now. What do i need to do? I’ve been using seachem prime and stability (prime for 2 weeks and stability for 1) i have 6 live plants, 3 nerite snails, 2 hitchhiking bladder snails and 4 adult guppies and 1 fry.

Ick or fin rot???

Is this ick on my guppies fins? I’ve only noticed it on 2 of my 7. I just added aquarium salt to my tank because one of mine had a pretty good tear in his back fin. If this is ick what do i do? Can they be saved?

New snails?

Can anyone tell me what kind of snail this is?? I just noticed it and we only have 3 nerite snails. I have since seen 1 more so there’s at least 2 of them. Are these harmful or beneficial to my tank? We have 7 guppies.

My guppies tail is bleeding!

His tail was totally fine last night but i did notice he was acting a little different, he was staying at the top of the tank not swimming around as much. He also changes color all the time, he’s been super dark blue almost black to yellow. A little back story on my tank as it is still new and I’m trying to learn all the things. We’ve recently lost 4, we had 11 total and the 4 we lost were the most recent ones added to the tank so I’m not sure if i just got some that were already sick or what. I did have a slight ammonia spike about a week and a half ago that i quickly got under control and my levels are testing good now. I only have the test strips but i took some water to my pet store and they confirmed they were good. I added the air stone right after correcting the ammonia spike. I have been using Seachem Prime and stability since then also. I did have another guppy lose part of his tail but it didn’t look bloody like this and i believe his was due to bullying/nipping, he seems to be doing well. What could have caused this and what do i need to do to help him out??
