Dump ILP or wait a few more years?

Bought into ILP before I learned stocks and ETFs are generally better. Here’s my stats with value slightly changed for anon:

AIA Pro Achiever
Started paying 2022. Agent tell me if quit before 10 years, need pay charges ie surrender values > premiums paid if I quit in 2032

Maturity date in 2098

Paying annually SGD 10K

Total premium paid is 50K, total fund value 63K. Surrender value 25K

Should I just cut my losses and dump the ILP to get back 25K but not have to pay again? Or keep it until no more charge?

Pro!Bakugou x reader fanfic on ao3

I’m not super certain whether it’s a multi-parter or in a collection of fics but definitely on ao3

Storyline includes Bakugou having a Twitter account and Reader thirsting over him. At some point R challenged Bakugou to post a tweet or photo to get a spicy photo back? And Bakugou’s PR team at some point wiped his DMs and non-ad tweets. So Bakugou DMed R and they had a video call to prove he’s the real person

New game “Istikan Chai” with a very similar art style

Saw this on a TikTok livestream. To its credit, it has simpler mechanics (at least for my free version). The livestream I saw had many many more additions - screenshot at the 8 second mark.

Another day, another pair of trouble puffs

Yes you can feed the cat. Yes you can aggressively rub the cat. Yes you can swing the cat (after a certain trust level).

Play Teller’s Duty. Glory to Kertasia.

El Nino advice from someone with eczema + sweat allergy

As it says in the title. Tragic, I know.

Menthol is also what’s in the Snake Brand Prickly Heat powder, and I’ve also mixed this with my regular moisturiser also when I run out of Suu Balm. You can also use the powder on its own if you don’t like the stickiness of lotions.

  1. Super cooling face and body wipes, specifically the ones by Gatsby. Dries sweaty skin and the cooling sensation lasts for 10-15 mins

  2. Cold showers. Don’t even bother with hot water.

  3. All the iced drinks, especially ice water. I’ve literally sucked on ice cubes if the water in the fridge isn’t cold enough.

  4. On that note, ice cubes wrapped in face towels for wiping yourself. Only downside is the dripping 😬

Special mentions:
- Don’t use peppermint essential oil lol. It sounds cooling because of the mint, but it burns rather than cools.

- Fruit juices and water >>> ice cream.

- I work from home 99% of the time so if that’s an option, take it.

- Mask up so you only smell half the concentration of sweaty, unbathed bodies when commuting. You would think people would know of “whore’s baths” (not actually a vulgar term. it’s basically wiping your face and pits with a wet cloth / wet wipes, ideally in that order.)

Guilty for splurging without thinking all the way through

Basically I had 6000 KrisFlyer miles expiring in Q3, so I decided to redeem all my cc points and book a solo trip to Sydney this Jul (aiming for cold weather in Sydney) on business class.

I thought it was a treat to myself and “might as well” redeem miles. But now I’m having second thoughts and feel totally stupid for being hasty.

I paid $4.5K cash for return tickets on business class, plus 120000 kf miles (so $1200 offset). Cancellation fees would be $900 and before assuming I get the rest of my cash and miles refunded.

I dont know what to do. Do I keep the flights and take this as a expensive lesson and enjoy the trip? Or should I cancel and rebook a cheaper trip? I feel really dumb
