Kitchener Rangers just won the OHL championship for the first time since 2008

The Rangers swept Barrie 4-0 in the finals to win the J. Ross Robertson Cup . Christian Humphreys tipped in the game-winner in the third period of Game 4 and Sam O'Reilly (who won playoff MVP) added an empty netter to seal the 4-2 win . The Rangers finished the postseason with a 16-2 record which is absolutely dominant. Their last title was 2008-18 years ago to the day actually .

O'Reilly had 28 points (17 goals, 11 assists) in 18 playoff games . That's why he got the Wayne Gretzky 99 Award. Also, O'Reilly and blueliner Jared Woolley became just the second and third players in 1980 to win three straight OHL championships . That's wild. Kitchener now heads to the Memorial Cup in Kelowna starting May 22 . Does anyone think they can win the whole thing?

The full tournament schedule and field is finally set on the CHL site here https://chl.ca/article/tournament-field-set-for-2026-memorial-cup-presented-by-kubota-with-opening-game-scheduled-for-friday-may-22/ if anyone wants to check out the timings for the round robin. Does anyone think they can win the whole thing?

Venezia walking away with it huh

Just looked at the table with 3 games left and Venezia are at 79 points, Frosinone 78, Monza 75 . Those top three have pretty much separated themselves from the pack. Palermo is 4th with 72 and then there's a massive 13 point gap down to 5th place Catanzaro at 59 . Venezia's defense has been ridiculous—only 31 goals conceded in 37 games. That's the best in the league by a mile. Frosinone has scored more (71 goals) but they've also let in 34 . So it's really a battle between a defensive machine and a more open attacking team.

Was Jake Roberts the best psychology wrestler of the 80s?

Rewatching old Jake Roberts matches lately and it’s crazy how over he was without doing much physically. His promos felt real compared to a lot of the louder 80s characters, and the crowd reactions he got just from teasing the DDT were huge. The feuds with Rick Rude and Randy Savage still hold up because of how believable Jake made everything feel.

He never became WWF Champion, but people still talk about him like a legend because of his psychology and storytelling.

Do you guys think Jake was the best pure storyteller of the 80s, or would you still rank Flair, Savage, or Piper above him?

Urgently looking for freelance and side hustle

Hi everyone,

I’m currently going through a difficult financial situation. I’m struggling to manage my rent, college fees, and also repay an existing loan. Because of this, I’m urgently looking for legitimate remote work opportunities or online side hustles that I can start as soon as possible.

I’m willing to put in consistent effort and learn whatever is needed.
