I am 25 and an autistic guy who loves to travel (especially road trips) when given the opportunity. I’m a yapper once the ice breaks. I’m currently going through a career change and in school to become a special education teacher. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and they all love me!
I’m looking for a romantic relationship with someone I can share my life with long-term, build each other up, and see meaningful progress together — not something that stays strictly platonic forever.
I prefer a reasonable pace, but I do value some physical affection early on (like holding hands or a hug). I’m not looking for someone who wants zero physical contact until much later.

I’m 25, 5’8”, curly hair, average build, no tattoos. Live in Tampa. Never been in a relationship. Never had a third date. Only one first date from apps since 2018. Speed dating: said yes to everyone, zero mutual matches across two events.
I swipe yes on \~75% of profiles because matches are extremely rare (roughly 1 per 850 swipes). Most matches unmatch, ghost, or turn out fake. Communication that starts almost always fades.
Recently posted here and connected with someone. Good conversations, emotional openness, went on a second date with strong chemistry and a hug. Continued texting afterward. Then communication dropped, vague responses about being busy, and replies became minimal (plain “Good morning,” no follow-up). Classic slow fade.
I’ve traveled solo, built hobbies, work out consistently, improved style and grooming. I want a real relationship with companionship, depth, and shared experiences like travel—not just platonic friends or relatives.
I know the odds are bad for someone with my stats and history. Looking for honest perspectives from people in similar situations or women open to average-height guys who show up consistently. Or just someone local who wants to meet without the usual games.
Not here for pity. Just stating the data I’ve lived.
