I’m choosing between these settings for a 6–8 ct diamond, ring size 3. I want it to be aesthetically pleasing and maximum structural integrity and security.

1. Which setting would you choose, and are there any changes you’d recommend for a stone this large?

2. Also, is a 2.5 mm band enough or should I go higher?

Would love input from jewelers/bench jewelers or anyone with experience with large center stones! Thanks! 🙏
