Looking for some CCW insight

Moving here for work. I get it: "move somewhere else." That's not an option currently, so here we are. I come from an already ban state, but I do have my concealed handgun permit in 2 other states in New England and want to get my VA permit.

What are the steps I need to take? Do I need to take a class here or is my current licenses to carry good to show I am proficient in firearm safety, or do I need to contact the VSP? We don't close on our house until the end of the month, so would it make sense to apply now as an out-of-state resident, then re apply once I have an actual VA address, or just wait?

Is taking a GLP break needed

As someones whos been on glp1 for a while. IF and when I find reta, would it be smart to come off the GLP-1 for a period of time, or would it still be beneficial just to roll into reta?
