Pilea Pep Leaves Won’t Flatten

My plant is in an east facing window that gets a ton of light because the wall is entirely windows. (Every other plant in the room is thriving.) It’s in a well draining soil, and I only water when it is completely dry. The pot has drainage. All of the new growth that it’s gotten since I got it from a friend in May just refuses to flatten out. There are no pests; I use beneficials.

I’ve read that if they’re concave or convex that means certain things, but mine just never unfurl completely.

Teacher at wit’s end with iPad

Please, does anyone know the fix to my iPad problem? (Summary: audio not synced with screen recording.)

My fellow teacher across the hall has this same problem, and her iPad is almost brand new. This problem only started in late winter/early spring 2026.

-I have an iPad
-I open up Notability
-I pull down iOS screen recording and turn on the microphone
-I also AirPlay to my classroom TV

This allows me to run class, have a full note-taking session, and then upload the class/notes for kids who were absent.

PROBLEM: For months now, my audio is out of sync with my video. We have troubleshooted—restarting device, closing all apps, clearing memory, etc. Nothing works. These iPads are ONLY for the above use and aren’t bogged down with other apps.

Today, I recorded all three classes. The first started out synced but, after 15 minutes, the audio skips ahead (or the screen freezes, but I think it’s the former) and the rest is out of sync. The second and third’s audio started about 3 minutes into the lesson, but at the beginning of the video. What the heck? The first several minutes of class can’t be heard but they can be seen.

I’ve seen Handbrake mentioned several times during my problem-solving research, so I’m coming to the experts to see if you think it will solve my problem. It is maddening. Is Handbrake my solution??

Florida Ghost Growth Pattern?

Is this craziness how a typical Florida Ghost grows? After every new leaf, it seems to shoot out another growth point and there are cataphylls (?) and new leaves everywhere. (I don’t know all the official jargon.)

I’m more used to the nice, linear growth of a monstera.

Also, I’d love to give it something to climb but I’m not interested in a true moss pole. I’ve been waiting for the Climb-Itts to stock in my area, or I’ll use cedar.

I finally have a living room for houseplants. :)

I’ve lived in a split entry with small windows for 19 years. This past year we added on, a LOT.

This is my new east-facing great room, and my new plant family. I also have plants in my new master bedroom and master bathroom.

My husband says I have enough, but we all know he’s incorrect.

Diagnose this please?

I got this a couple weeks ago. It’s two plants in the same small pot, and both were pushing out new leaves, so I haven’t repotted or anything. They were in a south facing window at first (I’m in NA), but I thought maybe that was too bright for them so I moved them about 6 feet away from an east facing window that gets bright morning sun until about 11 AM.

I noticed this reddish part on the biggest leaf. Is it still getting too much sun? I want them to stay pretty for as long as possible!
