How do you manage to set time aside just for rule memorization?

I do one 35-50 MBE set and 2-3 essays (outline only) everyday and by the time I finish those tasks, I find it incredibly difficult to rote memorize rules because I'm just so tired. I know that we are memorizing rules through active learning, but I feel like there are advantages to just rote memorization too (at least for me, since I'm forced to sit down and actually look at the rules and how they all work in the grander scheme of things).

But I'm having trouble juggling all of this and finding the time and energy to nail down rule memorization. any advice would be appreciated. thank you.

admittance ticket question

the bulletin mentions that the admittance ticket should list the arrival time on exam day ("Applicants must be seated by 8:20 a.m. each morning. This is shown as the “report time” on the Admittance Ticket.") but mine doesn't list the time.

does anyone else have their time listed? also does the State Bar send out like another email with the schedule or do we just have to rely on the schedule mentioned on the bulletin ?

When issue-spotting essays, do you keep track of all the issues you missed?

I'm issue-spotting essays and I'm not sure what to do with the issues I failed to spot. Do you record them somewhere with the rule statement? I know that for MCQ I record all the questions I miss, but is there a similar and effective approach when it comes to essays? thanks! btw using Mary Basick's book for essays.

ran out of adaptibar questions, now what??

soo i was drilling a ton of criminal law questions on adaptibar today via the practice question mode. i had both of the exclude questions for MBE study aid and MBE exam boxes checked so that i could save new questions for those. but now i don't have any new criminal law questions to drill and i still feel shaky on the topic. should i turn to the barbri questions (barbri MCQ bank and the capstones/random MC quizzes they have on the personal study plan)? thanks guys.

i am drowning in information overload what do i do

for context: i'm using barbri, adaptibar, and mary basick (for essay). i watch the deep dive lectures on 2x without pausing and just take quick notes on the side. for adaptibar, i do practice questions and take note of the questions i got wrong and keeping a wrong answer tracker with the rule statements. but my problem is: what do i do with all this information and how do i possibly memorize it? should i outline it? im beyond overwhelmed and i simply don't know what to do. any advice is appreciated.

how do i use the dr. althea 345 cream mist?

trying to incorporate this into my nighttime skin care routine and was wondering if this product should be applied after moisturizer or after cleansing and before toner, serum, moisturizer? i’ve heard both methods. thank you!

adaptibar practice question vs practice exam

as the title suggets, i'm not sure if it would be best to start out with MBE practice questions or MBE practice exam on adaptibar? i know that the practice questions are untimed and allows you to see the answer after each question whereas the exam format is used to mimic exam settings (timed and answers shown at the very end). as someone who is just starting bar prep, which method do you recommend?

my gauge is off by 1/2 stitch, should I redo it by moving needle size by 1/2mm?

i'm knitting the miu top and the gauge is 5.5 stitches and 8 rows per inch using 4mm needles in stockenette. i'm using superwash merino wool and i blocked and let the swatch dry (i only stretched the edges to prevent curling). i met row gauge, but i have 6 stitches per inch rather than 5.5.

should i just continue with my 4mm needles even though I didn't meet gauge? or should i size up to 4.5mm (and subsequently 3.5mm for the ribbing portion, which originally calls for 3mm needles)?

How did you incorporate the Mary Basick essay supplement book in your bar prep?

I bought the Mary Basick essay supplement and I will be using Barbri to study for the July 2026 exam. If you used this book, what is the best way to incorporate it into your study plan?

what order should i be using all these products (im a beginner)?

i’m a total beginner when it comes to makeup and i recently bought a bunch of products during the sephora sale. i want to get more into makeup and previously only used blush and mascara and a lip product. here are the products im working with and i think i put them in the correct order, but im not entirely sure and im open to feedback! for context: my skin is super oily and i wear sunscreen before any makeup. (these are mainly base products, so i won’t be including eyes and lips) thank you!

  1. rhode glazing mist
  2. danessa myricks blurring balm powder in shade universal
  3. saie glowy gel
  4. tower 28 concealer (no foundation since i want my skin to show through)
  5. westman atelier contour stick in biscuit
  6. rhode pocket blush in sleepy girl
  7. saie setting spray
  8. tower 28 powder blush
  9. laura mercier translucent loose powder

another question: thoughts on setting spray before powders but after cream products? and would you use a setting spray again at the very end?
