Do you plan on seeing the Harry Waters Legacy Tour?

Just curious to see how people feel about this and if you're going to see them. Personally, I think I'm going to wait to see videos of the tour before making up my mind. There's already countless bands out there paying tribute to Floyd, and Brit Floyd and APFS are hard to beat, but with the tour being produced by Roger, we can certainly expect a spectacle, even if its a more "budget" version. The musicians mostly being former members of Brit Floyd is interesting. So, we know there's gonna be no issue with the music, at least. There's also talk of putting in a few of Rogers solo songs in the set, which is something I've always wanted to see the cover bands do (along with some solo Gilmour stuff). What do you guys think?

AT LP 120 Tonearm Issues

Hi all. I've been having an issue with the tonearm on my player for awhile now. Basically, the tonearm will sporadically just sorta drop like a stone into the record, rather than a smooth glide. This causes the music to start abruptly, or sometimes even slides into the first few seconds of the first song. Obviously, there's major potential for scratching here, and it's also just downright annoying.

I've read that the damp silicon fluid may have dried out, and that the issue can be fixed by replacing it. Does this sound like a likely fix? Sorry if this is a basic question, I'm not really a turntable junkie, as much as I'm a record junkie lol

Long Promised Road with Blondie on lead vocals

Great version of the song and it suits Blondie so well. Same arrangement Brian and his band played live in the 2010s

I really hope there's a live album for Al and The Pet Sounds Band soon

I know it's wishful thinking but, really, these shows are way too good to not have preserved. Anyone else feel the same way? Would be especially cool if it's a show with the full Love You album, or maybe the recent AU shows with the Pet Sounds deep cuts.

Live at The Paramount 1993

Just listened to this for the first time. I knew about the few songs they released on the boxset but didn't know the whole show was available!

How do I know if therapy is actually working, if it's time to find a new therapist or if I should stop altogether?

Sorry for the wordy title but I'm not sure how else to word my question. Basically, I've been in therapy for almost 2 years now with the same therapist and my experiences have been up and down. There's been times where I've found the sessions helpful but truthfully they're few and far between. Most of time I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall or an AI giving the most generic responses (I'm actually about 95% sure my therapist is using chatGPT during our sessions).

The biggest issue for me is that my therapist doesn't seem very interactive. I have an issue where I shut down in our sessions and my mind goes blank, which is something I've been working on. The issue is my T "mirrors" my shutting down which results in both of us just sitting in silence for prolonged periods of time. I've heard that this is a strategy many T's use to get the client to start the conversation, however I literally have zero words to form. There's nothing in my brain. All the words I wanted say are gone and I need help fishing them out.

In the occasions where I actually do have stuff to bring up and talk about, he seems very, I don't know, disinterested? He doesn't ask a lot of follow up questions, doesn't offer a lot of insight into the situation (or if he does he's completely off, like how he thinks I grew up upper middle class just because I didn't grow up in complete poverty) and kinda just gives very superficial level answers that I honestly could have gotten reading on Reddit. He also gets distracted in sessions and there's been several occasions where his supervisor (I think?) will just randomly come into the session room to ask him a question or get something which completely derails our trains of thought and makes it difficult to return to the topic at hand. I should also mention the "walls" of all the session rooms are glass and everyone in the office can see in and watch peoples sessions taking place. So, in other words if someone starts having a panic attack or cries, the entire office staff/other clients know about it too.

I feel bad bringing all this up because I feel like I may have an inaccurate or "romanticized" version of therapy, but when I hear about other peoples therapy experiences I really just can't relate unless they're talking about the negative experiences they had. I've tried to push myself out of my comfort zone in therapy and really open up but even when I do, I feel like I don't get much out of it. I also feel bad because despite everything I just wrote, parts of therapy have helped me, but when I think about how often our sessions turn into "what does that feeling serve you?" "I'm not sure" "Then you shouldn't be feeling it" just makes me frustrated since I have no idea what that question means despite asking.

I'm also a bit overwhelmed by the process of finding a new therapist. Mostly because I don't want to have to go into my entire life story over and over again but also because I started therapy for a very specific issue that most therapists refuse to even go near and getting rejected from a therapist wouldn't be great for my mental health (I actually wonder if the disconnect between me and my T is because of lack of experience in this area?).

I'm very sorry for the wall of text but this has been on my mind for so long and I have absolutely nowhere I can get opinions on this. Am I being delusional in thinking therapy could help me or is my T just not the right fit? Writing this post was actually sort of painful because I do have respect for my T and if the situation could be salvaged, would like to continue working with him, but right now I feel like I'm stuck and I'm just curious if this is at all normal to feel? Thanks for reading if you got this far!

The_mcr_archive reposted this on IG, courtesy of another user, jacki_82. This really hit the nostalgia button hard for me. This video was recorded just months before I started listening to them in 2003.

I heard talks of them after their 2002-2003 shows at Fireside in Chicago and it was love at first listen. Always wish I could have found a way to get to one of the shows at Fireside but couldn’t afford anything because I was just 15 and my family had zero extra cash.

The first time I saw MCR was in 2005 at Warped Tour in Tinley Park, IL. My friend’s dad dropped us off and I really thought we’d stand out as the biggest fans, haha.

I’ve seen them 5 times over the years and will be at the Detroit show in August and an LA show in October. Couldn’t be more excited that this band still gives me feelings and are performing now better than ever.
