What are some good places to volunteer at in the South Charlotte area?

I’m not looking for anything religion related, but I am interested in things that are environmental or creative!

Advice on getting back to hand sewing

When I was a child, I really liked to hand sew clothes for my dolls, even though I was not the best at it.

Now as an adult, I’m trying to get a hobby other than doomscrolling and I wanted to ask: Where do I start?

Where are you finding materials to sew with? What are some beginner friendly products? How do you find a community?

I feel boring because of my lack of hobbies 😭

I have depression and it has been hard to answer the question: What do I like doing?

Throughout college, I was in service oriented programs and made neat little presentations talking about things that mattered to me. I volunteered at a garden.

When I was a child, I hand-sewn clothes for my dolls (poorly lol) and liked to sing and do musical theatre. I also loved to read.

Since I got diagnosed with depression, it has been hard to get into things. I have been doomscrolling nonstop and it has been hard to get into hobbies without quitting because I don’t excel the first time. How do I get a hobby?

I tried making zines, but I feel uninspired. I went to my friends to see how I can get into their hobbies. In college, I went to trails and walked around and explored my area. I feel boring and dull, now that I feel that I got nothing going on.

help finding third spaces as a new grad living in Charlotte!

I’m in my 20s and I recently graduated college! What are some recommendations on places to pursue hobbies, make friends, or volunteer in the area? I’m bored and I need to make friends after graduating!

any third spaces recommendations for people in their 20s?

I am new to Charlotte! I miss home so much and I wanted to see what places I can visit that serve as third spaces for people in Charlotte. I am a very crafty person and introverted and I am down to make new friends with other people in their 20s. I am originally from the Triangle area and a place that I loved to volunteer at was the Scrap Exchange. I also loved visiting parks. What is a good place to meet new friends apart from religious spaces (I’m not religious)? Help me, I’m so bored and I have been in a slump. 😭

I got a job offer at a consulting firm that does not pay well. I want to leave as soon as possible to a “better” company with better pay. What should I do?

What is your best advice? I was battling this job market and I have been getting a slew of rejections after graduating from college. I got a job offer but it doesn’t pay well. Should I keep applying or should I wait a year to find another company? Thoughts?

four years ago (when Biden was president)

These stickers were in a gas station in a Southern state and was during a time when Biden was president in 2022. Time really flies. I think there was a ginormous Confederate flag on a large flagpole across from the gas station. I did not feel safe…
