Z100's for the win

I just picked up four z100's and a z100-sw. I'm surprised how much I enjoy them and how good they sound. It's made watching movies fun again

I wanted to upgrade the sound from the qm7k's speakers and was going to go the way of a sound bar. I'm glad I didn't.

Just posting because z100 users seem to be very rare. I'm curious what other buyers think.

Bathroom not remodeling but shower fix.

The floor in my shower flexes when you walk on it and the tiles have started to come loose. By loose I mean completely popped off from the floor I was looking for someone that can fix the floor and a foot up without having to redo the entire shower. Any recommendations for the Philadelphia/Yorktown area?

TCL z100's

I made a post a while ago and asked if the LG 7suite with the m7's or the Sony quad would be a better choice. Somewhere along the line I was reminded that my TCL QM7k can use their dolby atmos speakers. There isn't much third party information on them so I was apprehensive. Shortly after @andrewrobinsonreviews on YouTube put out a video on them. He highly recommended them, but I was still on the fence. I ended up getting two speakers and putting them in the rear. The upgrade in sound quality was surprising. There was some 3d immersion but it was limited. I recalled Andrew said that with two speakers the quality upgrade was obvious but with 4 you got the full surround sound effect. They were on sale for $200 a speaker (still are) so I grabbed two more. With four speakers the system works really well. This is my first surround sound system so I'm no expert, but I really didn't want to spend the money on the LG or Sony system and the TCL, while some say they are over priced (still don't know what that means or is in comparison to), sound wonderful.

I was curious if I was over liking how they worked. To test it I put the sound back to just the TV and then to the z100's. Nope the difference is profound.

I will highlight the negative I heard a lot. They connect directly from the TV so no app. I didn't get this at the time but do now. It would be nice to be able to adjust the location of the speakers. The automatic placement doesn't work perfectly all the time. I keep seeing that updates will slowly get better but it doesn't seem like TCL is really pushing the speakers. Makes me worry they aren't going to put many resources into them. They should, they have a great system on their hands. We'll see but as is I don't regret my choice at all. I'm even planning on getting the subwoofer while it's still on sale. If you have a compatible TV I think they're definitely worth a look.
