Can we get our tariffs back?

For most of my products, my supplier arranged shipping and paid the tariffs on my behalf but I think I would still be the importer of record. For one of my suppliers, I was paying tariffs through Fedex. Are we out of luck here and only the big guys are getting their money back or what?

ETA wait some were through SF International and I see there's a fedex refund option

Update to my 1895 blueprints

(Sorry for my handwriting!)

  1. At the top- addition off the kitchen to make it an eat in kitchen and add a greenhouse. Anything original in the kitchen is gone but they designed it with some low counters to preserve the full window size.

  2. Servant stairs removed and powder room in its place. Also, well done to whoever guessed this exactly right including that the top of the stairs became a linen closet. The slope of the ceiling in the closet didn’t clue me in but seems obvious now!

  3. Pocket doors removed between parlor and dining with ductwork where part of the walls would be and otherwise open. This one hurts the most.

  4. Door between the pantry and dining room walled in. Pantry is now also a laundry room.

  5. Doors between hall and kitchen and hall and dining room taken down (I have some doors I. The basement but I forget which)

  6. I now think basement access wasn’t always there- below the main stairs

  7. Fireplace replaced with a wood burning stove that I can’t stand because it takes up so much space (impossible to design around) and is basically unusable when you have little kids. But it also has really nice tile work (Mercer tiles) that I can’t stand to remove!)

LMK if you want to do another round with the other floors!

Found original floor plans from my 1895 PA country (now suburbs) house. Want to guess what has changed over 130 years? Will post update tomorrow.

A carpenter owning a 7bd victorian in 1895?

Not sure if this is best for /r/genealogy or /r/centuryhomes or somewhere I haven't been yet, but I'm trying to research this history of my house which was built in 1895 in Pennsylvania (suburban Philadelphia). I have a blueprint that says who it was built for and was able to track his family in Ancestry with it lining up to the location, but I'm baffled because he seems to have been a carpenter and how could he have afforded this house? It's across the street from a much richer estate where his son is confirmed to have later worked as a gardener. Could a carpenter have been prized enough by a wealthy family that they would have enabled him to own this house if he worked for them?

Why does ABC think there was “vocal support” for the data centers?!

I had to leave at 10:30 and wasn’t in the main room, but who was supporting this other than the billionaire developer?

Best roofer in my area thinks that's enough, less good roofers want to replace wood dormers/etc. with sythetic materials. Trying to respect the charm of the house while also getting to full exclusion. Issue so far has been in soffit/fascia as far as I understand, possibly with it being softened by a bad gutter.
