I don't consider myself a writer, but three years ago I attempted to write a book and failed to finish it. I don't plan to finish it, but I want what I did complete to be out in the world, so here it is.

There was a period of time where I thought I might like to be a writer. I spent a lot of time reading and eventually decided that I could write my own short stories. I wrote a few that I was happy with and then I figured it was time to attempt a book, but it was just too much for me at the time. I then fell in love with photography and this project was left forgotten. It was the last thing I attempted to write and with how much time has passed, I don't plan to return to it as I have lost the spark, but I'd like what I did complete to be out in the world.

I'm not looking for critiques. This is a very sloppy first draft. There are earlier sections of the book I returned to in an attempt to add more detail whenever I'd hit a block with the rest of the story, but those were also left incomplete, so there are sections that just kind of end. So, be aware that it's sloppy! It was never meant for anyone to see at this stage, but I don't care enough to go back and clean it all up. I've attached a link to the PDF's.

It's about a man who after a night of heavy partying and drug use, passes out and wakes up in the body of another man.

I don't really remember where I was going with it, but here's what I had! Enjoy!

My first LS400

Traded a beat up old 2003 VW Golf for it.

Doesn’t currently run, but it fired right up on starting fluid. Going to be replacing the fuel pump and power steering pump and it should at least be drivable. Biggest concern is that the rear subframe looks pretty rusty.

Anyone in the Vancouver Island area have parts for a 95? Looking for front right turn signal light, climate control console, center console latch and possibly a rear subframe which I’m sure is a long shot.

Going to be a big project, but I’m looking forward to working and owning my first LS400!

Opportunity to pick up a 95 LS400 that’s been sitting for years

Opportunity to pick up a 95 LS400 that has been sitting for years

I met an older lady at work who mentioned that she has an LS400 she stopped driving because it was too expensive to drive and parked it in her yard and left it there for years.

I went to go check it out yesterday and it definitely needs work. It needs a new battery, it wasn’t getting fuel, either because of bad old gas or possible fuel pump issue, she also mentioned that it had a power steering pump leak before she parked it, which is to be expected. She laid a big mat down on the grass and parked the car over it so the little I could see of the underside looked mostly rust free. Some bubbling rust on a couple panels. Interior was pretty mint.

Anyway, she knows I work on cars and basically said that I can have the car if I can source her a cheap, reliable car for her because her daily just died. I happen to have a 2003 VW Golf 2.0 that I recently picked up for $340 and put another $300 worth of parts into. Is it worth trading a pretty solid Golf for a 95 LS400 that needs a bunch of work? Or am I just looking at an absolute money pit of a car? I’ll be doing all the work myself and I was planning to flip the Golf anyway.
