Libido Increased Postpartum

Hi everyone,

I’m about 7 months postpartum and exclusively nursing. I don’t know what’s happening but my libido has been high ever since giving birth. I thought it would be on the lower end with breastfeeding. My husband has been understanding and I try to not be so needy but he only wants to really have sex 1-2x/week, where I’m at a point of wanting it twice a day.

Masturbation just doesn’t get me there unless I’m having sex with my husband. Our baby is also room sharing but hopefully the frequency of sex will go up once we move him to his own room over the weekend.

I’m wondering if other women have gone through this issue and if there libido stabilized? Or will it just go up from there once I stop breastfeeding.

Hubby is working on having sex more frequently with me but he says he’s tired from work and needs a day or 2 to recuperate.

Before and After School Care while on Mat Leave

Hi everyone I just got a call from a daycare provider that offers before and after school care. I accepted it as I know there’s wait lists for before/after school care are long plus my other child will get sibling priority for when they start infant care summer of 2027. I was just wondering is it okay if I barely utilize the before and after care (might use the after care to run errands, docs appt getting my child acclaimed to before and after care)? How does it work when it comes time to file for tax returns? Should I be filing it for next year despite being on mat leave?

High Lipase in Frozen Milk

Hi everyone. I started tapping into a small freezer stash to feed baby out of a bottle for practice. Milk smells so bad and tastes like metal.

I was wondering for the frozen stash if I mix it with food (purées or pancake batches) can I refreeze the food items that have been mixed with previously frozen breastmilk?

4 month old not breastfeeding upon nighttime waking

Hi everyone. The last few days my 4 month old has been having early morning wake ups and feeds for 20ish minutes on one breast. When he fully wakes up for the day at 7am ish he snack nurses and he’s done.

I’m not sure what to do. I feel like the EMW feed (between 3-5) is starting to turn into a habit and I’m not ready to end it yet if it means he’ll fall back to sleep until he wakes for the day.

Has this happened with anyone else and your baby eventually dropped that EMW feed and fed for baby’s actual wake up.

RESP Catch Up

Hi everyone. I’ve read a few posts here about RESP catch up for the CESG. I have a 4 year old son (born 2022) and a 4 month old. We opened a self directed family RESP.

I’d like to catch up on missed grants for my 4 year old. I’m aware the total grant amount is $7200 so basically 14.4 years of $2500/year contribution getting $500 in grants. So essentially my son would be short $200 so I’d need to just contribute an extra $1000 before he turns 17?

I hope I’m understanding the grant portion correctly. I’m reading about carry over amount per year so contributing $5000/year to get $1000 in grants but obviously will be dependent on cash flow.

Ergobaby Embrace Worth It

Hi everyone. I just purchased the ergobaby embrace. I’m wondering if it is worth it or if I should return it. I got away without using a baby carrier for my son’s first 3 months of life. Now that we want to be more mobile and enjoy the summer especially for my oldest (4 years old) I’d like to get a carrier. I have the Omni 360 from my first which I also used seldomly. I’m wondering if the embrace is worth it and if I will get much wear from it given that baby is 3 months old and on the smaller size (almost 12lbs).

TIA!
