Just learned about "Filtered library downloads" and saved several minutes

I’m going on a trip and wanted to download some music in case wifi is poor, I knew I wanted to download my favorites albums and was about to download them hand by hand, filtered by number of listen when I saw the download icon.

This allows you to pick a duration (say 5 hours) and it’s gonna download the filtered list you have there until total duration hits that 5 hours threshold you picked.

Pretty simple and basic feature but how useful. Thanks for this amazing app.

Docked experience flaky, no sound, CEC barely working

Hi everybody!

I had give up on the docked to the TV experience a while ago because I had weird issues. But following the Machine announcement I expected the whole thing to be better so I decided to try again. Turns out that, not really, which makes me doubt if a Machine won’t just be the same.

Before going ahead, here’s my setup:

Steam Deck -> Steam Dock -> Sony STR-DH590 -> Lytmi Sync Box -> Sony Bravia

(In other inputs i have a PS5 and an Apple TV)

I have two issues

first is no sound. I tried switching to desktop mode to try what I can do, nothing works

Second is the CEC, it’s a dice roll, yesterday for the first time, when I have put the deck to sleep, it shut down the tv, but not the receiver. But today, it just doesn’t do anything.

I know CEC in generally is flaky, especially when you add steps, but in order for the steam machine to be a success, this has to be top notch imo, and my ATV, for instance, is a good example that it can be done right (I know, consoles are different, but hopium)

Anyone has any tips I could check before I start trial and erroring everything, my setup is tight fit so starting unplugging is a bit tedious

Thanks!

Price aside, the reservation / randomness is a good idea

I think we all saw how much of a mess the Controller was, I think the idea of going with randomness and a reservation list is a good idea.

It doesn’t prioritize F5 smashers and limit risks of scalpers getting ones, I prefer having less fair chance of getting one than allowing scalpers to easily get them. I think they went clever on this one.

Curious what you guys think?

Picked up my brand new IBEX 450 last friday, with a little surprise

Front rim has a tiny hole where air can escape

I wasn’t looking to buy one, I’ve been lucky enough to get one from valve directly, but was curious to see. And what the hell is this "steam controller"
