Hey everyone, I’m underwater on my DRAM shares; however, I’m opposed to selling for a loss. Rather than sit on my hands while I wait for the price to recover, I decided to sell covered calls.
I have been keeping the strike above my purchase price with the expiration date only one week out.
Anyone else doing this?
Just curious, does anyone else temporarily buy inverse ETF’s like MUD or MUZ to help offset or even profit whenever you see a drop coming?
I did that today for the first time. I saw the drop coming myself this afternoon and confirmed similar market sentiment online, so I bought MUD. The profits helped to offset the loss on my MU holdings. Sold before market closed.
New customer here. I really dislike that Fidelity is charging a 5% fee (up to $100) on purchases of ETFs. No other brokerage does this. It’s really off-putting, especially as someone who just opened an account and is trying to consolidate everything in one place.
I don’t want to manage my portfolio across multiple brokerages, but this is pushing me to look at Charles Schwab instead.
Not sure what Fidelity's end game is here, but strong-arming smaller ETF issuers while passing the cost to investors isn't a great way to retain new customers.
Any clue why people are panic selling MU right now?
