Just bought a new iPhone at an Apple Store. I got an email that I now have a free 3 month trial to Apple Music. I don't recall OKing it during the purchase. I haven't even opened up the box. I cancelled the trial out of spite.

My question is did they sneak this in, or could I have missed the OK box or is this automatically added when purchasing a new iPhone? Seems kinda sleazy to automatically add it if they did.

Long time user of Quicken for Windows. I don't typically close accounts (not sure if I've ever done this much or at all). I just hide them. Maybe closing an account was paramount to deleting in the past versions, not sure.

But sounds like it's a hard hidden - works like hidden you just can't unhide it? What are the disadvantages of closing an account that's really closed in real life? Can you still correct old transactions if need be? Add a missing one?

Using iPhone app and macos chrome/safari browsers. My past purchases are missing (none shown, out of 5 or 10 the past 12 months). I tried Chrome and Safari and the iPhone app. Missing everywhere - except my rewards history and account dashboard. If I go to the Past Purchases specific page, it's blank.

All my purchases were in-store.

Anyone else see this?

It's not completely clear but before the sting, had Kevin been caught doing the same thing once or twice? It seems like one was another sting and the other was his niece. But it's not clear.

NCSECU just redid their online access. I'm getting an OL-297-A error on them. I tried deactivating and reactivating. That doesn't work but gets far enough to generate the 2FA code, but then can't load the accounts.

I'm guessing/hoping they haven't enabled Quicken access b/c they've probably got enough issues and calls to deal with for a bit.

Update 6/11/2026:

It worked for me just now! All four accounts. On 2 or 3 I had to link to the existing account. Usually when I reactivate, Quicken is smart enough to link the accounts. But for some reason it didn't on those this time.

It did download automatically an adjusting transaction to mimic all the previous ones (like a beginning balance). But I just deleted it.

I did another update and nothing redownloaded so looks like it's working.

So for some profiles the history will list the Like and whether or not I've messaged them. Some will not (ones I know I've messaged). How do you tell if you've messaged someone? If you can't won't this cause a lot of people to send multiple messages to the same person, ruining their chances?

This seems like bad design.

So I created a general liability to track my deferred tax (on unrealized gains and tax deferred accounts). I can't get it included in the Planning/Assumptions section. It's not hidden or separate. It's showing up in all other reports, but it's not even listed in the Planning Assumptions to turn on or off.

Any idea? I realize it would be probably be double counting the Planner's future tax handling, but not at that point yet.

Any way of linking balances like your Amazon Gift Card balances and Apple account balances?

Also, what do you guys use to track your rewards/points for airlines, hotels, credit cards, if not Quicken?

For ones I don't track - when I use rewards I put the expense as a category but an offsetting "Rewards Programs" income category. That way I'm tracking my expenses correctly, but also reflecting the offsetting positive.

I was wondering what would happen in this situation - I have a business checking account. If I put it in my personal Quicken account but also a separate Quicken data file (business) - will both be able to download and interface online as if they are the only one? Will transactions go to both?

I want it in my personal Quicken to mimic my "shares" in my sole LLC. But also to download to my LCC Quicken data file.

Are is there an easier way to do this LLC treatment all in one file (a Business version) ?
