I’ve done over 10 submission with Beckett and I would have to say this is the worst submission I’ve ever done with anyone in my entire life. On top of the fact 9/20 of my cards came back “altered” from using Kurt’s card care on all of them including the ones that got graded but my highest and most valuable slab… has a Beckett employee hair in it. How did I even go about this 🤣
I’ve been playing the 2007 version recently and yes it may be mediocre but how come no one has decided to take this game on and remake it into something legendary? Soo many things you can do and you should be able to start from a young age and build that fame, have some mead chugging competitions, legendary tales and places, monster hunts. I like the heroic and carnal system but it can be expanded and it should be open world aswell. Give me yalls thoughts and opinions on this manner. I know some people may like the idea and some may hate it and that understand and okay! But I want to know what yall would add, change,take away, who you’d want to make it, get detailed please maybe this might blow up and we can get a way better Beowulf game🙏🏼
After watching both The Odyssey miniseries and the recent film adaptation, I honestly can’t believe we’ve never gotten a true AAA game based on Homer’s epic.
The more I thought about it, the more it feels like the story is already structured like a modern RPG.
You have:
Sailing across the ancient Mediterranean
Ship upgrades and crew management
Legendary locations and islands
Boss encounters like Polyphemus, Circe, Scylla & Charybdis, the Sirens, and the Laestrygonians
Moral choices involving the gods and your crew
Exploration and side stories
And one of the most satisfying endings in literature with Odysseus returning home and reclaiming Ithaca.
Imagine something that combined the exploration of Assassin’s Creed, the storytelling of Red Dead Redemption 2, and the combat of God of War, while staying faithful to Homer’s story.
Would you play a game like that?
