I got rear ended on the way to work today, just got my passport 2 months ago. Got all the other drivers info and made my claim with my insurance. They admitted fault. I think the main thing i'm upset about is merely just having an accident on the cars history now. It will get fixed and look okay again soon, but the accident report never goes away and likely diminishes my value if i ever want to trade in or sell. I am going file for diminished value i think, but need to learn more about that.
I'm tryin to take this as an opportunity to react to this differently than i would have 5 years ago. It's a car, shit happens, and it protected me very well. But UGH!
Just wanted to share to give anyone peace of mind about safety, i was in an accident when i was 17 in a honda accord and it saved my life. So good on Honda for that. If anyone has any advice or words of wisdom, im open to hearing anything haha. Thanks all.
I bought a new 2026 passport and love everything about it, except i'm having some color choice remorse. It's white, specifically white platinum pearl. It looks good, it's a nicer white than most, but i'm still now feeling like it's a bit boring and doesn't have personality. I wanted the ash green metallic but did not want to go up to the Trailsport trim to get it, for certain reasons including cost.
So am considering a wrap, and also exploring if the dealership can do a swap for the color i want instead of white (modern steel metallic). I of course would take a hit on depreciation, but just want to explore to see if it's feasible.
I feel pretty silly for this -"well why did you buy white?"...well, i wanted it at the time, easier to keep clean, gets less hot...etc. you know, of course after buying it i start having this regret.
So with all that said, is a wrap worth it in my situation? Happy to hear anyone's opinion on the whole situation, or just on whether wraps are worth it. Thanks!
Just picked up my first new car! Love this thing so far, only thing i wished i could have done is get the Ash Green Metallic color, but i specifically did not want the Trailsport, and green is only offered in that trim.
White looks the best out of the RTL colors in my opinion (black looks great too but hard to keep clean and gets hot)
Does anyone want to share opinions on the white and what you think about it, should i have gotten trailsport just for the green? Would getting it wrapped be stupid? Just looking for any kind words of advice 😂
Picked up my white RTL the other day. Loving it so far. It's a tank. I really liked the ash green color but wanted the RTL for cost/other reasons, but the green only comes on trail sports. White was my favorite from the RTL colors. What does everyone think? Thanks and excited to have this sleigh!
Hey all, I am looking at getting a 2024 Passport Black Edition from a local dealer. Car has 40k miles on it. NOTE: The car also has a minor "accident" report on the carfax, and after getting details from the dealership it was just paint repair that was needed. No sensors or headlights were damaged, it was just on the passenger side door, pics look good and i cant see anything wrong with the paint, but of course will inspect in person.
They are offering 10k for my trade in, and ill put a few extra thousand down in addition. Can anyone let me know what they think, if this is a decent deal? I of course would prefer a car with a squeaky clean carfax report but wondering if this is worth looking at, and it may help me negotiate a better deal.
Thanks in advanced. I really want this model specifically (white 2024 black edition, so hoping this may be an okay deal. Anyone opinions welcome.
