Family photo! Decided to take my bags out and give them some TLC.

Took my bags out to give each a quick clean. Hard to get a good photo of all of them but here they are! Embarrassed to say some still had tags on and have been sitting in my closet for 1+ years -- I generally don't switch out handbags very often but would like to get better about that...

I would say I've built this collection up over around 15ish years. My lifestyle has changed a lot over those years so some bags aren't getting the use they used to (hah) but maybe once I'm out of the toddler phase I'll be able to carry small purses again?

And of course one of my least expensive bags (that small black backpack against the wall) is the one that gets the most use!

Has anyone else's Instagram algorithm gone completely unhinged the last few weeks?

My Instagram algorithm used to give me normal posts on my feed that were pretty inline with the type of content I normally interact with. The past few weeks I keep getting tons of pro-Palestine/anti-Israel content, and even when I mark "not interested" or "don't show me more of X-user" it keeps popping up -- to the point I've just been blocking users who keep appearing on my feed. IDK what I did to deserve this and it's bugging me! My Reels oddly are safe (I get pro-Jewish/Israel content only).

Just curious if anyone else has had this happen or if there's anything else I can do. I suppose I could get off Instagram but I love using it for design/art inspo, and I still want to see what my friends in different parts of the world are up to!

Need Advice on Sealing Wood Decking... in California.

Seems like majority of high-rated wood sealants (even low VOV ones) are now banned in California. I'm debating whether to go the linseed oil and paint thinner route for sealing Mangaris wood decking, or if anyone has a product they recommend that is available in CA? Most of what I see available here is said to last only 6 - 8 months...

When did Personal Injury Attorneys become "celebrity" attorneys in the US?

In LA every other billboard is a personal injury attorney. When and why did this specific strain of law start in the US, and why did it become so lucrative and popular?

Realistically how can the next mayor increase building?

I say this as someone who works in multifamily real estate development -- it's been about 8 years of the city going through their new zoning guidelines, and it's still not due to be complete in another year (supposedly). In that time, Mayor Bass killed the idea of upzoning select single family areas, and the idea of making "corner commercial" zoning was killed as well (meaning that neighborhoods would have corners upzoned to light commercial use for things like coffee shops, markets, etc. which would serve the community).

While there is a form of upzoning coming with these new plans, it takes so freaking long for everything to get implemented I'm not convinced it will happen in the next year like they're saying.

How can our next mayor actually implement any change when the zoning changes are already in place with city planning? And while upzoning is great, that's only one ingredient in getting housing actually built. Right now construction costs are high, interest rates are high, and getting through LA City Planning and LADBS requires years.

I think SB79 is great in theory but it's such a stupid blanket approach because it's coming from the state level, not people who actually understand our city, and that it uses a radius around transit is very odd to me (for example, I think all major boulevards should get upzoned, but with SB79 you get weird pockets that are and others that aren't).

So back to the question -- what can the mayor realistically implement at this stage, when the whole new zoning process is already apparently at the end (and I believe LA is required to revisit their zoning every 10 years, when in reality it's been like 30)?

Where to donate used baby bottles?

Finally done bottle feeding my baby, I have bottles that are in pretty good shape (some barely used because girl was picky)... nowhere accepts donated baby items apparently, and I feel like it's crazy to just toss them... is the only option FB marketplace, etc, or is there anywhere I can just drop them off?

Anyone know of any markets that sell sorrel? I've been really into adding it in my salads (was gifted some by a friend who grew it). I'm on the westside and prefer not to travel for it. I'm guessing the farmers markets would have it but prefer to find a grocery store.
