Bad news

I had my retrieval today only 6 eggs were retrieved and 5 eggs were mature of 11 seen. That was one part. Come to find out his frozen sample (he has extremely low sperm but they wanted to try a frozen sample and fresh, none of the sperm survived and there was none usable on his fresh samples. My RE recommended that he has his sperm aspirated (he has little to no sperm from a blockage) from a urologist so we have to wait to get in with one for that. In the mean time they have to freeze my eggs. I have had nothing but obstacles thus far. I probably need another retrieval now too. I’m absolutely gutted.

Leaving my appointment in tears

I had AFC 19 and AMH 2.33 so we had higher hopes. Every ultrasound only has been showing about 11 follicles with 5 in the lead. I just left my last appointment in which I’m triggering tonight still 5 mature follicles. The others are too far behind. I’m 38 so I know euploid chances are already low. I’m so sad right now. My husband has extremely low sperm counts (in the hundreds) I feel like my chances of this working are slim. I’m trying to keep my hopes up but I feel like I’m so much lower than all these posts with 20-30 eggs retrieved. 😭😭

Am I under estimating?

I work as an RN in a very busy unit in the hospital . I have my retrieval pending for Wednesday and I go back to work Sunday. Will I be ok?

PGT-A

I’m 38 almost 39 AFC 19 and AMH 2.33. With the price I’m paying for my IVF cycle, 8 embryos are included for the testing . I can pay a few hundred more each, to have more done. What did you all do when you had your tested/how many did you test? Thank you!!

Hurry up and wait

So I am scheduled to have my retrieval mid August- already started the birth control. I also need a polypectomy before transfer. I reached out to the surgery team to see if I can get that done the cycle after my egg retrieval and basically was told no I can’t pre book, incase my retrieval gets canceled or I need another round (which I probably can’t afford anyways) I have to message them when I start my period and they’re usually booked out 1-2 months and I know I can’t do my transfer for at least another cycle after the polypectomy. I’m so heart broken I probably won’t have anything really happen until the end of the year if I’m lucky 💔

Getting ready to start

I’m going to start the process for egg retrieval. Today I had the first scan and start birth control. My AFC last month was 19, today was only 14. This is bugging me. She had a hard time visualizing the left one but this is still a big drop. Makes me concerned I will get less eggs later :(

Polyps

I am going to be starting my egg retrieval soon and before I do a transfer I have to get polyps removed that were seen on my saline sonogram. I have had heavy periods for about 7 months so that explains that but I also have real bad cramps on my period as well. Is that also a symptom of that or something else wrong? Sometimes even 800mg ibuprofen doesn’t completely make the pain go away. Looking up online only made me question now if polyps also cause bad cramping as well. Anyone need a polypectomy and have similar symptoms?

Opinions

Opinions?

I have some polyps I need removed but my RE said it’s not emergent so he has left it up to me, I can either do the polyp removal first or my egg retrieval in mid August. We are doing the PGT-A testing based on my age, and he has extremely low sperm count (like low hundreds low- we had to freeze some in case he can’t provide a fresh sample- he had a basically failed vasectomy reversal) I’m just wondering if anyone had chosen retrieval first or surgery first and why? Thank you!! 😊

Extremely low sperm count

I am coming here in hopes to find someone maybe in a similar situation. Long story short after my husband had 1 child he had a vasectomy. We decided that we would like a child and he had it reversed at this beginning of the year in January. We tried up until now even naturally with no results. I am 38 almost 39, and I know age is a huge factor so I have gotten all the tests my OB could do and referred me to a RE. We did more testing on me and here are some things to note. AMH 2.33, AFC 19, tubes open, but during my saline sonogram I have some small polyps that I am going to have removed. Now, to my husband…after 1 month of his vasectomy reversal did a semen analysis and sperm returned although not super high 10million seen 30% motility so it looked very promising. Here we are at 6 months and the RE checked it and his results same back at 1500 (yes thousand). I am beyond devastated. I knew IVF would be on the table even before these results but now it will probably be the only way. The RE said we need to bank sperm ASAP, so we did and those results came back with only 429 motile sperm….i am so hurt and so sad. I have a follow up consult with the RE today to discuss my polyp removal and these semen analysis. We reached out to the doctor who did the reversal and he was no help and sounded like he was in denial saying he knew couples with these numbers who conceived naturally, so we consider this a failed reversal. Anyone have success with such low numbers? Im worried even this frozen sample will not be good. It said only 1 twitching with a test thaw. 😭

Maybe the start of something?

It’s so hard to see without making the picture darker. I’m probably just delusional at this point. All the negatives month after month have taken a toll!

Wondfo

This is interesting because yesterday at 7DPO (I know too early but I’m a serial tester) these tests didn’t act like this or pool at the edges. It took forever for the dye to run I mean like over 5min. While it was running the test like got pretty dark, dark enough for me to be like wait let me do another test cause it looks positive! Then it faded a lot after it got to the control line but still, I swear I see a shadow within 3-5min but after completely dry it’s gone? I never used these before but I hear they are more sensitive so I figured I’d try them. So far not liking this at all…

Had an HSG done on CD10 and my estrogen hasn’t budged in fact it dropped the day after my HSG. My right tube was probably blocked and then with force she was able to unblock it. I had quite a bit of bleeding and even now 3 days later some spotting. Any one have an HSG and it impact their chart or is this just random??

u/chelebellxo — 4 months ago

I have been using inito for several months now and unfortunately I haven’t gotten pregnant yet so my doctor ordered an HSG just to see if anything was showing up there. I ended up getting this done a few days ago on CD10. The pain was so bad. It was just like having a very strong contraction when it came to trying to get the right side to flow, so more than likely there was some sort of blockage there, but it ended up being cleared thankfully. I am still spotting pretty good too. It says I’m in my fertile window but with my estrogen dropping and staying low, I don’t see how I would be. My chart is all over the place now and I’m wondering for those who have had an HSG how long was your cycle delayed because I did hear that that’s common bonus if you also use inito and have a chart! I just noticed we’re not allowed to include pictures so for context of things my estrogen is usually rising up into the hundreds by CD12 and I am in the 50s.
