Have you felt a stronger connection to your heritage with the US becoming more divided?

It seems to me race and ethnicity, partly due to divisive politics, are forced more lately into every aspect of american life (especially online but also irl conversations).

--If you feel close to your Italian heritage are you getting annoyed with the "white" box we have to fill in for everything from job applications to casually in conversation? As well as the cultural erasure that is just part of American life?

From my perspective there's not much of a community left, and we could never have been as close as latinos because even within a small geographic area our ancestors spoke different languages. My grandparents at least never learned standard italian well and i think most of our community was separated by "dialects" which are in fact completely different languages.

--Because of this do you also gravitate towards other mediterranean/latin cultures for friends and partners, or other non- anglo cultures?

If you pretty much exclusively date outside of your race, what are your reasons for doing so?

For example if you're white American, do you have issues with the dating culture in the US?

Or tell us if youre only attracted to people with black or brown hair, etc

Or maybe there's something about one culture in particular that attracts you romantically.

Is he sexy to you personally?

He looks amazing and is very attractive. His personality shines through and makes him more so. But to me he has a seeming innocence that broadens his appeal and makes him non- threatening, whereas someone with more sex appeal would be more divisive.

I love him dont get me wrong. But I think the innocence is part of the appeal, like how he can get away with the lyrics he used to sing and be so loved as a kindhearted guy.

like now he can hang with Adam Sandler in late night and act like a kid brother..
