I think I already know what people are going to say. On r/23andme they said I just look Polish. But my personal experience has been that I look neither Polish nor Pakistani. Perhaps something in between. On top of that, my Pakistani family doesn't look like what people stereotype Pakistanis as. That could play into people's perception of me a bit.
My dad's Pakistani (mainly Kashmiri as far as we know). My mum's Polish. I'm new to DNA testing, so I'm not sure how to interpret these. I also posted on r/23andme and included a photo of myself there if you're interested. Decided not to include one here because it seems like people on this sub don't do that.
My dad's second generation British Pakistani. His parents are from Azad Kashmir, but I don't know for sure if they're only Kashmiri. My mum's from Warsaw, Poland originally and she's 100% Polish as far as she knows.
I'm not super close to either culture really. In terms of how I look, people say I don't look Pakistani, and I also don't really look Polish according to Polish people. I suppose I'm my own thing 🤷♀️
The results are basically what I would have expected. I just don't know where the Anatolian came from.
