1.5 lb Standard White Bread:

1 cup warm water
1/2 cup sourdough starter
1/4 melted butter
3 cups AP flour
1 tablespoon vital wheat gluten
1 teaspoon yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt

Baked on light and 1.5 lb setting in bread machine.

Got this Breadman TR555LC today and Iโ€™m so impressed!

I found a Breadman recipe book a few months back so Iโ€™ve been on the lookout for a Breadman machine. I found one today for $12.99!

Iโ€™m so used to my other machine taking 3 hours. This one was 2 hours and 40 minutes for a 1.5 lb load. The crust is absolutely perfect! It was super quiet and the alarm at the end of the cycle wasnโ€™t bad at all.

Ingredients โ€“ Sourdough Bread Machine Recipe

  • 1 Cup โ€“ Water (warm) โ€“ย 237 milliliters
  • 1/2 Cup โ€“ Sourdough Starter โ€“ย 115 millilitersย โ€“ย You need to addย LIVEsourdough starter (not dry starter) to the bread pan.ย The starter should NOT be very liquidy.ย It should look like bubbly dough (see picture above). See the tips section for more info.
