Can I activate my Cox Mobile SIM before my Cox Internet installation appointment?
Hi everyone,
I recently signed up for Cox Internet and also added a Cox Mobile line. The issue is that my internet installation is going to be delayed because the technician can't come out right away due to some personal circumstances (COVID, health issues, and family disruptions affecting scheduling).
I already have the Cox Mobile SIM card and would like to activate it and start using the mobile phone service before the internet is installed.
Has anyone done this? Can the Cox Mobile SIM/phone number be activated and used before the home internet modem is installed and activated, or does the mobile service have to wait until the internet installation is completed?
I'm specifically asking whether the mobile line itself can be activated independently while I'm waiting for the technician to come out.
