Mental health advice pls.

Looking back over your life so far, what have been the biggest challenges in understanding yourself whether related to your mental health, career, relationships, purpose, or personal growth? What have you tried to gain clarity (therapy, journaling, personality tests, AI, coaching, friends, books, etc.), what actually helped or didn’t, and if you could have one tool or experience that truly understood you over time and helped you make better decisions, what would it look like and why?

Did career counselling actually change anyone's life?

I never really understood what happens in career counselling sessions. For people who went through it, what was the experience actually like and did it end up changing any major decisions you made? If you considered it but decided against it, what made you pass on it?

Career counseling? worth it?

I’ve always been curious about career counselling because whenever people talk about it, the opinions seem completely split. If you’ve actually gone through career counselling, what was the process like, what did they do, did it genuinely help you make decisions, and would you recommend it? On the other hand, if you were confused about your future but never went for counselling, what stopped you - cost, skepticism, parents, not knowing who to trust, or something else? Interested in hearing honest experiences from both sides.

When did you realize you were on the wrong path?

What information would’ve changed your mind at the time? For people further along in their careers, was there ever a point where you realized you were heading in the wrong direction? What happened, how did you figure it out, and what do you wish you’d known earlier?
