New maps available
The last update was in early February. I do not get why Polar omits maps update from updates.
At least we have something to update 😊
about HRV
Hello, I’d like to find out more about HRV
>As far as I know, the watch now performs continuous sampling, and data collection begins the moment the accelerometer detects stillness and the heart rate drops below the wakefulness threshold (the falling-asleep phase). It only switches off upon full awakening. The data stream is processed and divided by the algorithm into fixed 3-minute windows. If the watch detects wrist movement via the accelerometer during a 3-minute micro-block, that block is immediately invalidated and excluded from the calculation. To calculate and display the HRV value in the morning, the new algorithm requires the accumulation of at least 20–30% of valid and clean 3-minute blocks relative to the total hours of sleep. The watch therefore requires a minimum of 2½ to 3 hours of accumulated clean data to validate the session. Below this threshold, no HRV metric is generated in the morning to avoid partial or incorrect data.
Is what’s written above true? If any of you have further information or anything to add/delete, please do so
Thanks!
Polar Beat and empty profiles
Polar recently updated PB to version 3.5.12. Unfortunately, even though I’ve reported the issue countless times, it continues to occur—namely, countless empty profiles appear, as shown in the above pic (scroll down in the app to view them). I'm on Android. Am I the only one, then?
Hi, I’ve been using an M3 for a few weeks now, and last weekend I encountered a "problem" whilst following a route I’d planned using gpx.studio. It was the first time I’d used the M3 to follow a route so I might have missed something...
As you can see, there’s a section of the route where the outbound leg (red arrow) and the return leg (green arrow) overlap. What happened was that during the return leg (green arrow), the watch kept alerting me that I was off course. I didn’t encounter any problems on the rest of the planned route even on the outboud leg segment (red arrow).
- clear skies
- A-GPS updated
- waited for the GPS signal to be acquired before starting the session
Any ideas? TIA!
M400 nib -> M200
https://indypendance.com/pages/pelikan-nib-interchangeability-chart
Hi, this is the most up-to-date source I've found, stating that I can use a gold M400 nib on a M200 pen. However, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the cap on the newer M200 is slightly shorter and that the M400 nib won't fit. Unfortunately, I can't find that source anymore, so can you confirm this before I pull the trigger?
Thanks a bunch!
