Suggestions for bike ride 200km one way

I covered almost all of the famous places and I genuinely can't find good places for a one day ride which are around 200km one way , if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I prefer ghat areas and good roads, can manage bad roads for short stretches but want the ride to be peaceful

Anybody else feel like there are much less serial killers now?

So I felt like there were a lot more serial killers in 1980's , I watched some yt video where she explains that serial killers peaked in 1987 I guess and then slowly the number of active serial killers kept decreasing.

Are they really kinda extinct now or is it just that they've gotten way smarter . Usually some of them like it when they are very famous in the news but these days it doesn't seem to the case these days if they are active . Ever wondered why most of the serial killers are from usa? I feel like most of them are from usa or maybe usa just did a good job at catching them . Maybe there are more in India but we never realised it's a serial killer or never caught them so the number is much lesser.

I'm glad they are way less now but it can also be the case that it takes a lot of time identify or link different cases and understand that this can be a serial killer so I guess we'll never know

Anybody else associate places with songs?

I was listening to "Let it happen" by tame impala and I immediately remembered about ooty , I always associate places with songs , just makes those trips a lot more memorable. Everytime I listen to let it happen,it reminds me of monsoon or how cold and rainy and beautiful ooty looked in monsoon.

That trip was just so impulsive, I was gonna go on a normal ride , 200km round trip but then one guy joined the trip and changed everything about it . First we went to the place I decided and then he suggested we go coimbatore and he came prepared with clothes but I wasn't prepared because I thought I'd be back my evening but I said okay anyways because we can always order clothes on blinkit or something lol so after we went to coimbatore he asked me again if I want to go to ooty the next day, I didn't really have plans as such so I said yes again and we went to ooty again, we were deciding where to stay , eat and where to go on the fly . Nothing was ever planned or decided well in advance.

I did all this with a complete stranger whom I didn't even meet once and I ended up doing a bike ride with him for 1000km in 3 days.

Im still in touch with him, we still talk sometimes. He's not in Bangalore anymore so didn't go on any other ride since then with him.

That ride made me fall in love with monsoon and made me a little comfortable being uncertain about future .

I also associate this "We are the people" song with chasing sunsets and with Jog falls , honnavar locations. I went on this big coastal ride with friends and 2 of us took a detour to Jog falls from Udupi instead of directly going to gokarna while other 2 directly went to gokarna. We both were chasing sunsets, we wanted to cover Jog falls and then watch the sunset in honnavar and we did both and that detour of 140km was the best part of the trip for me . It was just soo fucking good that whenever I hear these 2 songs I get so happy

I want to get a tattoo

So I got this idea now to get a tattoo but I'm not sure which one to get or if it's safe to get or if it'd last for long .

So I love my bike so much and it's named pumpkin, I thought a small pumpkin tatoo might be nice but idk , I'm not sure if it'll look good or if it's a good idea lol. Other than that I have no clues on what to get , maybe like mandala art but I want to get a small one first to see if I actually like it . If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad

I'm also worried about how the side effects are , or if there are any side effects at all , like skin cancer maybe even? Might be extreme case but I just want to know what I'm getting into . I also want them to be hygienic which I feel is a basic ask

Will the tatoo be there permanently like will there be any fade after some years or will it still age well?

I'm in Bangalore and I'm okay to pay more if I'll get good hygiene and good artist . Any tattoo shop recommendations are welcome

I also wanna know if getting a tattoo is a good idea? Like I don't want to get a permanent tatoo and then regret it , should I try something temporary before I go for permanent?

Any recommendations?

Pics are downloaded from the internet btw

I know the cost varies from tatoo size and from artist to artist, if I want to get like a small tatoo like shown in the pics maybe on my hand ,what cost can I expect and where to get it ? For reference I'm in Bangalore and I'm okay to pay more if I'll get good hygiene and good artist .

Take a step back and enjoy your life

I have a shoulder injury since last week and it got a little better , inka aathram agale and I took it out for a small city ride ,roamed around and took some pics . I miss this so much , ee madhya race track adhi idhi ani I forgot to enjoy my rides , I gotta take a step back and start enjoying it instead of stressing about lap times around the track

Hopefully na dhoola ki I didn't make my injury worse , can't wait to go on more rides especially monsoon rides , asalu monsoon lo ride ki velthe , that's a different feeling. Greenery everywhere and everything looks so pretty . Wanna get better and get back to long rides soon 🧿

Was down with injury so edited a video to pass time

I was too bored and didn't have much to do because I took a sick leave as my shoulder is injured, wanted to edit a video of my previous rides for so long and finally I did a small edit, nothing professional but just as a memory

Got new helmet and boots

I actually got them like 3 or 4 months back and I've been using them since then mostly on track and for some short rides

Helmet is nhk k5r

I used it on track or from short runs to gym or city rides , helmet is like really really comfortable and the quality seems great .

I got it for 5.8k , I crashed 2 times using that helmet on track , one is a small crash and the other one was moderate level, like it wasn't serious but I crashed around 50kmph maybe .

Helmet is good ,I checked the eps liner as well except for some scratches, it works really well. Wind noise is pretty low , I can only compare with my smk stellar and hjc rpha 12 . Compared to smk it's very good but obviously it doesn't match the comfort of hjc .

Fit wise, I feel like fit is similar to ls2 , ls2 fits me very well but kyt doesn't fit me well, I wanted to get kyt but dropped it after realising my head shape doesn't match kyt

Tbh I didn't feel like it's a good helmet for city because there's not ventilation and I started sweating in city and sometimes even on track so if it's for city or track, better go with kyt but for touring this would be a really good helmet, the sun visor is also pretty nice .

Boots tcx rt race pro air

These are the top model from tcx and they are race boots , costed me around 37k and they are absolutely fantastic.

I crashed in them 2 times and I walked away from one without a scratch and the 2nd time my calf muscle got injured but I got back on bike in 2 weeks and it would have been way worse with half length boots , they protected me really well

Comfort wise, they're really comfortable as well and I went on a long 1300km ride and never felt like they were suffocating. I didn't feel like it's hard to walk in them as well ,

Quality is amazing and I'm glad I bought them .

Just another weekend

Got this bike 2years ago because it was costing me too much to take rapido when I go to play cricket. I got so much into biking and I stopped playing cricket now and started riding my bike on track this year , I tour on it as well and I just love it to death .

So this weekend I wanted to try some new stuff on track as it's better and safer environment to try out risky stuff . It went well, understood my bike a lot more and did my fastest lap around this track which is 1 minute 6 seconds, might post a pov once I get a camera mount as I already have an action camera

Having a hobby which is more of an obsession like this gives me so much to do on weekends and makes them a lot more interesting and I learnt a lot and it made me grow as a person too ,so consider this a sign to get obsessed with your hobbies 😅

I registered for gt cup (racing event) as well but they gotta confirm if I can participate, I went to ktm cup recently but didn't get selected for next round and hopefully it'll change next year . Till then I gotta keep improving

I went to munnar for my bday with friends but I went on bike and they came in car and it was kinda like a solo trip tbh.

On my bday my plan was to go to gap road and enjoy by covering few of those locations there and while I was going to gap road my bike started making a shit ton of sound out of nowhere and I got so stressed,I had to stop my bike and I was alone as my friends were at the stay getting ready and I somehow got the courage and started riding it again and took it to mechanic, he tightened my chain and I thought that was it but once I went to gap road ,it started making the same noise again and I took it to mechanic again. He said it's alright and I can go back to Bangalore

I just decided to call it a day and head back to stay as I had to leave early the next day morning to Bangalore and it started making even more noise on the way and because it was Sunday no shop was open and I was just so stressed about making it home the next day because Bangalore is almost 520km and I spent the whole evening worrying about my bike , I talked to my bike friends about it and they gave me a little confidence that it's gonna be alright but I was still so scared .

Next day I started at 4am so if my bike broke down I could have more time to get it towed or fixed , 4am at munnar was scary asf , and at some places there no network as well, no people on roads and I didn't go above 45kmph because I was afraid that my bike will break down but somehow I covered 160km worrying about my bike , then I reached Dindigul and those service guys were helpful and they took 4hrs and they repaired my bike , I was pretty confident then that I can go to Bangalore before sunset . I wanted to go before sunset because my clear visor was kinda damaged so I had to use my dark visor which would won't let me see that well at night so I tried to go pretty fast and I actually reached Bangalore at 5pm lol, I covered like 330km in 3.5hrs even though it was raining in some parts .

Should have gotten my bike checked before a long ride tbh, I was too lazy but never again, I'll get it checked properly before any long ride so I won't have to go through this again

Last year when I went to munnar for my bday, we were fucked over by weather and it took us 21hrs to reach Bangalore, whatever decision wwe took turned out to be bad , we had to back track a lot because some roads were closed due to rains and spent 21hrs on road and by the end some of us fell asleep on road and I'm just glad everyone of us made it back home safe and this time when I went solo on my bike with other friends in car, my bike have trouble lol.

Munnar was just too beautiful like always, took this video on my action cam, hope the colour grading was good 🙂

Tldr: bike broke down on 3rd day of trip which was my bday and spent the whole day worrying about it and had to cover 160km distance the next day hoping the bike won't give up and thank god it didn't, got it fixed and got home safe
