I went surfing at 11pm on 4rth of July in Daytona. Shore breaks at about my stomach completely dark. Had to surf off of feeling alone pretty much due to the light pollution from the hotels. My wife got some good shots in nightmode so it looks like daytime. Super fun and I feel like having to rely on the feeling of the waves instead of vision made me a better surfer. I will put a video in the comments without nightmode we tried to get you can hear me yell when I’m about to catch a wave lol that’s the method we used so she knew when to take the photo for the 3 second nightmode timer.

First good thrift find in ages! Super stoked about this one couldn’t find this exact one anywhere. Anyone know how much one like this would sell for? (I’m not going to sell just collecting it)

My mom picked this turkey up two days ago he isn’t aggressive but he puffs up every time I go outside and is panting today. I live in Florida so I think it’s probably this high heat we have today. Is this stress panting? Should I be worried? I know he found the water and food so that’s good at least. This is my first experience with a turkey and we basically adopted him from previous owners who needed a new home asap.

Here is the vase I had in first post on one of my grande bases. The second picture is the seam and third picture is the bubble in the glass. I’m thinking of building a custom base so I don’t ruin or use up one of my grande bases. I’m not sure even if this is the correct size bulb for this or not. My guess is it’s 5 gallons but I will test how much it holds soon. I still need to test if it can handle the heat without cracking before I put wax in. But in the meantime if someone knows a good wax mix for larger lamps let me know. I was also thinking of putting three coils in this one if someone knows where I could get some

Does anyone think I could pull off making this jug into a lamp or is it destined to explode? I don’t know how I could test it and if it would blowup during testing. I was looking for a Pyrex boiling glass but found this massive recycled glass instead. I know it likely wouldn’t work but it was 20 dollars and would be crazy if it did. Not sure how big it is yet I think several gallons. Has anyone had any luck using similar materials even if on a smaller scale? Would using a warmer instead of a light be better to prevent exploding? How would I test this? Looks like it has some lines and a possible bubble in glass also looks like the color is painted on outside. It may be stupid to try this but if anyone has used something similar and it worked let me know.
