Weird smell?

This is going to sound crazy, but you have been helpful before with advice and support. Every time I take my parent to the hospital there’s like this weird smell that like I’m assuming surrounds her, but like I don’t smell it on her person, I don’t smell in her room. I just smell when I’m taking her to the hospital in my car. But, today she didn’t even make it to the car she had to go in an ambulance, but the smell is still like in my car and I’m assuming on me cause I picked her up. It’s not like a cigarette smell. It’s not an alcohol smell. It’s not BO it’s like a weird almost like chemically smell like sanitary but also like burnt and there’s something about it, that’s almost like a homely under note of smell. I absolutely cannot figure it out, and it’s literally like a smell that comes off of her like it has to every time I’ve taken her to the hospital and brought her back from the hospital. Very different from the hospital smell. The smell gets like stuck in my car for days and gets stuck in my nose, like I have really horrific sinuses. I feel crazy and I feel like nobody else can smell this smell when I ask them to smell it. Does cirrhosis have a smell like this? Or vomitted blood? I don’t thing it’s a medicine side effect because her prescriptions have been different every time. It’s such a so oddly specific and complicated smell it and it is making me feel sick. Idk if I can stand it and her hospital visits are seemly more frequent now.

I feel like at this point maybe I’m just a freak and I can smell cirrhosis or maybe it’s just the smell or her near death passes with these hospital trips? But then why is still strong after the hospital or why can’t I smell it on a normal day to day? Normal sprays and scents don’t get rid of the smell either, it’s just so overpowering to me.

New psychosomatic symptoms and diagnosis, advice?

So this is all very new, as most of my symptoms have only been going on for a week, atleast aggressively enough for me to seriously see a doctor. I’ve had stress and anxiety for years. Just stuff I’ve always had to deal with on my own and pretty much life kept happening hard so had to move on. Anyway, the past week have been in and out of the hospital for heart attack symptoms, but everything came back normal. So now pschosomatic has been suggested, I am trying a medication that is supposed to be tame, and does help but knocks me out all day. I’m trying to look into therapy but idk if my insurance covers it. My symptoms are greatly hindering life right now as I take care of my kids, my mom, the house, pets, and I work part time.

I guess I’m just wondering what are treatment options realistically? What can are some questions I should be asking the doctor? Are there things I can try, to not rely on medication?

Do I let them lie?

My cirrhosis parent essentially thinks they are dying is refusing much medication and is refusing to quit drinking. She’s all a toxic/crazy personality and sometimes exaggerated person, but very smart. Was treated for high ammonia in the hospital but has since had been sound of mind since also has extremely limited her own drinking since.

Question is she want to tell my siblings 31m, 21m, and 20f, that she has liver cancer. I am 29 f caring for her. Eldest has cut her off and blocked her, youngest son basically just never answers the phone to her very rarely keeping contact, and youngest daughter visits once every few months, calls back rarely, essentially to keep face but more for me and my kids. Do I just let her lie to them, when they call me for questions? Cause they will or let her have her lie

Advice

My parent has recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis (suspected to have it for years) I can’t even say what stage it is. My parent has fought about going to the doctors for years and only recently I’ve been able to get them to go.

Basically, things aren’t looking good, and parent had a f it attitude and doesn’t want help. I know there are options for petition for treatment, problem is the fights that will cause. I take care of paren and the house parent inherited from my grandparent (childhood sanctuary) for 3-4 years, only this year did it get to a point where anyone is questioning parent ability to do things. If I even suggest not buying parent “needs” parent threatens to kick (me, spouse, and my kids) out, so I’ve tried dragging it out and saying we’re broke I can’t but parent gets people to buy for parent. And by the time i get paid again I have to buy. To parent it’s a necessity like TP. Idk what to do I do not want to be responsible for something seriously happening to her, i have been able to get her to cut it back over the years but she has made it very clear to me, doctors, anyone she will never quit. If I not buy for parent I will loose my home. I cannot afford to buy the house from parent. I’m trying but parent throws fits about things they want, and food delivery and dumb things and occasionally I have to splurge for parent so I don’t get kick out or don’t fight, so I haven’t been able to save to buy house. If I petition I become homeless with kids. If had a back plan and could choose to leave and make parent suffer from choices, ik parent will loose my grandparents home, end up homeless and worse. Parent will happily die to alcohol, it’s not a question of if it’s when and idk what to do.

I’ve fought for this long and it’s done no good
