Avoiding orgasms until a certain week along?

I don't know if I have an irrational fear, but I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and I haven't had sex or an O.

I've had a natural pregnancy before, and I didn't worry at all and had sex throughout.

Have any of you avoided sex just Incase? We haven't been intimate since starting IVF in March :(

I'm having a lot of nausea and stomach pain? I had horrible morning sickness with my son, I'm hoping it's not starting this early with this pregnancy!

Invoiced for 6 biopsied embryos, only told we had 5?

Invoiced for 6 biopsied embryos, only told we had 5?

Has this happened to anyone else? We are pgtm testing and I was told only 5 were biopsied. Our specialist only referred to 5 when giving our results too? Where is this missing embryo and what was it's results?

Have called the clinic, they never answer the phone so left a message, don't know if I'll find out from them today, they shut in 45 mins.

Baseline follicle scan for third egg collection shows left over large follicles, tech asked if I have pcos

Baseline follicle scan: tech asked if I've ever had pcos/ large follicles

Hi, so I'm switching clinics for my third egg collection. Because we have to travel to the new clinic I had to get a baseline follicle scan for our FS (and subsequent scans until we fly down for the last scan and egg pickup).

During the scan she was asking about my previous rounds, the dates, why we are doing it so close together because there are some huge follicles still left over(?) and she's concerned.

She also asked if I had pcos or ohss because of how many and big theY are.

My new had FS said before that our previous one likely overstimulated me, due to how much pain I was in after egg collection. Also because I got 21 and 19 eggs (only 5 embryos per round made it tho).

The tech also found that my left ovary is a lot higher up and hard to access, something I had no idea about.

Have any of you had left over huge follicles leading into another egg collection?

I'm meant to stop birth control on Saturday, and start stims the week after that. Egg collection 5th Aug.

I'm a bit worried? My second egg collection was as spaced out as my third will be, but my old specialist didn't scan me until day 5 of stims so she wouldn't have seen if there was left over large ones.

I am concerned the scan results won't be sent through in time for tomorrow close of business, I get off the pill as planned when I could possibly stay on it longer and push back the collection by a week.

I'm worried if I go off and then our fs pulls the plug, I am now not having a collection until mid September because he is away late August.

Bad communication with clinic- meant to have a call Monday for pgtm results. Still nada

Have any of you had similar issues with your clinic? We are moving to another clinic for other reasons, but this also has played a part. Second collection with this clinic.

Our FS was supposed to call me Monday with the pgtm results.

She didn't, I assumed maybe I misheard her and she meant Wednesday. Waited, no call Wednesday.

I email the clinic asking if the results were in (not asking what the results were), get an email back saying only the Dr can give us results. Last egg collection the nurse who I was emailing told us, I never even spoke to our dr outside of our initial consultation and the the follicle scans.

I email the Drs admin directly, she had leave this week but will call me by end of day Friday. So she was never going to call Monday when she originally said.

The wait for the results is honestly so gut wrenching. Knowing the results have likely sat there since Monday when she was meant to call makes me so pissed off.

I'm on birth control for our third collection with the other clinic and it makes me incredibly angry so I don't know if it's just my hormones. Have any of you experienced this level of just..blah??

Geneticist sent letter with wrong gene to lab for our pgtm testing

Changing companies, looking over our paperwork and

the geneticist we had to speak to before starting IVF has sent the lab a letter saying we are testing for a different gene. He's sent example abdc3 not abcd3.

Husband has only just caught it because the new lab wants the letter. Howbig of a chance the lab has gone off what the geneticist has said and they've tested all our embryos for the wrong gene?

We did cheek swaps for my son and husband.

Second egg retrieval, 19 eggs, 0 day 5 embryos. Wtaf??

Second egg retrieval, 19 eggs, 0 day 5 embryos

We have none. None. The embryos get sent by plane to be biopsied for pgtm since our clinic doesn't do it in house (when we signed with them they said they did) I'm wondering if that's whats causing such loss.

Do any of you have similar stories and got an ok amount on day 6? I am devastated and going to change clinics, I'm not happy with them for other reasons and this result just seals the deal. I truly believe if we stay with this clinic they won't do any sort of investigation on why we've had such a bad result.

No known infertility, one successful natural pregnancy 2 months of trying. My son has a genetic issue we didn't know my husband carried which is why we are doing IVF. Everyone told me to have low expectations, but 0 from 19 is 0.0045 probability.

Sharps container given to me is full of someone else's needles...??

Just picked up my IVF meds for second egg collection.. the sharps container is full of someone's needles..?? How could that happen? Do they reuse the containers? My meds came from down south so idk if it's the clinic who's done it or the pharmacy. Has this happened to anyone else? Please tell me this is somewhat common. I thought the containers get incinerated

Friend cut me off for doing IVF/having more children.

A few months ago my best friend messaged me saying she is removing herself from our life, saying she can't support us doing IVF or me staying with my husband.

We have a son who is disabled. She doesn't think we should have more kids. We are doing pgtm testing for future kids (gene caused our sons disability), which is why we are doing IVF.

She doesn't like my husband because he is very keep to himself, in the past I have complained about some of my annoyances with him, but truly nothing worth divorcing him over. I realize now I shouldn't have and I stopped doing, but I thought that's what best friends would do. She would vent about her life and situations and husband and I would do the same.

She has cut me off before when we were younger because her boyfriend at the time asked her to. As I was literally laying in the bed to give birth a year and a half ago she messaged me again asking to reconnect and I jumped at the chance. I missed her.

All the conversations we've had about being there for each other no matter what, growing old together with our family, how she will always be there for my son if my husband and I die early. It's very upsetting to see her throw all of that away. She begged me to move home which we did for her but also to have a slower pace of life for my son with my parents nearby. But to have a in person relationship with her was a huge reason to move back also.

I am so incredibly gutted. I keep thinking to message her and realizing I cant. I had no idea what to even reply. I know she wants what's best for me but to divorce my husband and explode my family is insane. It feels like she's died.

Have you had people cut out off because of your choice to do IVF?

Back to back egg retrievals, your experiences

I'm day 4 post ER, this has been my first.

I have been in a lot of pain, I look 7 months pregnant. Very uncomfortable.

We got a good amount of eggs, but due to pgtm testing we will lost at least half of whatever make it to blastocysts due to having the gene we are screening out.

Our plan was to always do back to back ERs to get the amount of good tested embryos needed for our family, we are wanting 3-4 in a perfect world.

Have you had back to back retrievals? Was the second one easier than the first for recovery?

Off topicish-

I had a very traumatic experience with the anesthesist missing my veins multiple times, putting GA into the flesh of my arm even though he knew it wasn't in the vein leading to horrible bruising, using the same needle twice in the back of my hand and also missing and then putting me under with too much laughing gas and I had the equivalent of a ego death lsd trip.

I was trapped in my mind screaming feeling the pain of him finally getting the cannula into my other arm. I was extremely panicked from the gas. It seriously scared me so incredibly hard. And then I came out of it I asked how long that was and the nurse said I was only out for 2 minutes and time for the general anesthesia. Thankfully that was better. But my God I never want to feel how I felt under the laughing gas again. I don't know if he overdosed me or what, it seriously felt like I was trapped panicking in my mind for 5 hours. I was blind. I couldn't speak. I could feel everything. Just horrible.
