The Human Nature problem of communist polemics

In approaching the critique of communism through an appeal to human nature, the communist will reply in one of two ways:

  1. "Human nature" under capitalism cannot be demonstrated because social systems determine how "human nature" emerges.

  2. Communism can change human nature when implemented because social systems determine how "human nature" emerges.

In both forms of the reply, the presumption is that human nature is more a product of social systems rather than the other way around.

With respect to each case, the question to be asked is:

  1. How do we know capitalism is bad?

  2. How can we know communism is good?

In either case, if communism is predicted under a capitalist social environment, it can only be imagined within those constraints (in other words, communist theory is a product of a capitalist environment). If it's granted that capitalism is vicious and makes people vicious, then shouldn't theories constructed under that environment also be interpreted as vicious as well?

I need a word to describe a phenomena where the creator hates the audience

I've usually seen it with regards to creators from the tumblr side of the internet, makes something intending to impress that audience, but their creation or output attracts people outside the tumblrsphere (sometimes waaay outside of it) and never really takes off among the target community itself (or it isn't financially viable within just that demographic). A certain recent drama with OneyPlays has surfaced this but I'm sure I've seen it in other places.

Help with a song?

Hello,

Vinny has a BRB talk track that's a reggae sounding mix of Fourside from Earthbound and it's driving me nuts that I can't find it. Thanks!

What crucifix is this, where can I get more?

Blessed Trinity Sunday!

I was wondering what kind of crucifix is this and/or if there is a place to buy these?

I found it at a convent in a drawer filled with other devotionals/prayer cards, and nobody wanted to claim it. So I made it into this rosary. Other people wanted a similar one and I would love to make more. Where could I get a crucifix like this. Thank you!
