Caribbean coconut ribs and Marshmallow OG x Mac Stomper
This bottle of Bettergoods seasoning is really good on pork and chicken. I'm also making some broth with leftover rib cuttings and mied allium to use to make rice and veggies.

Been keeping this container plant in a constant state of drought stress to see how the flavors compare. Drought stress figs are smaller, but taste better. They really peak in flavor once they start to desiccate a bit on the tree.
Sunset and set list were both nice, and we got the tickets for free from Crowley's radio show. It was an absolute win of an evening.
Jakob does a great job singing, he really does sound like his dad. Felt bad for him having monitor problems at the start, it's super irritating in the moment.
But definitely check them out before making your mind up on their return to touring. They still have it, 100%.
Just under 11 pounds after trimming, and finished in 7.5 hours at 300°-350°.
Bark is a 10/10 on this one. I added some paprika to the spice blend this time after reading it can help with bark, and I really like the results. Definitely gave the bark a darker color when it's finished than regular SPG.
Marshmallow OG x Mac Stomper, first time running it indoors. Went for 12 weeks outside last year and looked like it could have gone longer. Soilless medium it's in is a mixture of everything after running numerous comparison experiments for several years. Rockwool, coir, coir chips, peat, perlite, vermiculite, and calcined clay.
If anyone has any questions on mediums, feel free to ask. I've learned a lot and established a number of if/then conditional statements for when to select for certain media over others. So give me your basic water parameters and what technologies (RO filters, drip irrigation, single res irrigation, fertilizer injection) you want to use in your spot.
It smells like an actual skunk all around my house. You can smell it as soon as you slow down to turn into the driveway. My neighbor with multiple sclerosis called and asked me to check the camera to see if there had seen a skunk between our houses. He smokes and eats a lot of edibles, so he had a good chuckle when I told him what was up.
Haven't run this one indoors yet, but I'm thinking she'll go 70-75 days. I let her go 80+ days outdoors last year and she was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely should have added another layer of trellis.
It's 8 plants in a 4x6 space, 2x 4 board HLG Diablo lights over the canopy. Each light is running at 360w (55% of the max 650w), so 30 watts per square foot. DLI is upper 40s to mid 50s.
Mixed soilless media: rockwool, coir, promix, perlite, vermiculite, calcined clay.
DIY 4-20-39 salt blend plus calcium nitrate and Epsom. CO2 in 700-900ppm range.
2x Netafim Woodpecker Jr 2L/hr drippers per container. 24 minutes irrigation time per day, so each plant is getting 1,600mL.
Dude is probably dead, and Gunko got his hat when he died.
It was so nice by the creek yesterday, air temp was 12 degrees cooler than in town.

Flower is [Ipomopsis aggregata](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipomopsis\_aggregata#) and the odd colored sand is a glauconite outcropping from the Fremont limestone layer that occurs in chunks throughout the Cañon City area.
Anybody else ever tried using calcined clay as a substitute for perlite? It's a common ingredient in high mineral bonsai mixes and can keep its structure for decades. It's also used on athletic fields because it has an optimal air:water ratio for turf.
I've been experimenting with it as part of my ROLS cannabis mixes, container fruit, and container veggies for about 6 months now; the plants seem to really love it. The one I'm using (Saf-T-Sorb) is made from Montmorillonite clay, and costs $7.50 per cubic foot (7.5 gallons).
10-15 years ago, during low plant count medical days, it was a popular media for growing trees in PPK SIPs, (link https://www.icmag.com/threads/plants-in-ppks.298526/ ) so I think it would do well in an Octopot, Autopot, Earthbox, etc, system. I'm going to put some autoflowers out in high mineral bonsai style mixes in a couple different styles of SIPs with this stuff at ~50% after they show sex.
Substituted nectarines for peaches in [this recipe.](https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/231532/moms-peach-crisp/)
It had great flavor, and just a hint of pink and orange in some spots.
Well, it depends on where you live. She would have different associations if you grew up on the blue seas than if you grew up on a cloud island.
To someone who grew up on the blue sea, she would be the rain god. If you live on the blue sea, clouds are where rain comes from, and Zaza would be associated with the clouds/rain.
But if you live on a sky island, clouds are both the sea *and* where rain comes from. It's entirely possible she could be viewed as a sea god in addition to rain god.
FWIW, Elbaph is the only location in the story that has a connection to both the Sky Islands and blue seas, so the Harley having an unusual context compared to the rest of the story wouldn't be impossible.
Soilless media mix, synthetic fertilizer plus amino acids and Cytoplus.
Last 6 months worth of pictures and growth. The cultivar is VdB and the figs were grown and ripened 100% indoors. Medium is rockwool croutons, coir, perlite, vermiculite, calcined Montmorillonite gravel, and a bit of peat for long term pH stability using mildly alkaline tap water. Media was pasteurized before planting. Used Plant Success root inoculant at transplant.
I've experimented with a bunch of different hydroponic feeding ratios, and the one that gets me the best growth and fruit flavor is, per 5g bucket-
15g Jack's hydroponic fertilizer, 15g calcium nitrate, 8g Epsom salt, 2 grams amino acids.
