Running my PC off a powerbank!
That pesky Nvidia GPU is responsible for most of the idle draw!
Parts used:
- Areyourshop 12V to 19V 20A 385W DC-DC Boost Step Up Power Converter
- Kings 36Ah Lithium Portable Power Pack (outputs 12V at up to 25A via Anderson plug)
- Generic cable, plugs & XT60 current meter
In the PC is a G-Unique Wide Voltage DCATX module, which can take anywhere between 16 to 24 volts as input.
The current meter shows the voltage coming out of the power bank as being around 13.2V. Perhaps slightly higher than expected but the boost converter doesn't mind.
A notable drawback of this particular power bank is that it doesn't function as a UPS. Still, better than nothing when power's out.

Intense whiplash from briefly being on Abilify
Have been exploring with doctor medications that might help me feel less dissociative.
First tried quetiapine, but it made me too drowsy.
So I tapered off it and switched to Abilify.
Unfortunately that caused me major brain fog.
Since discontinuing Abilify, the brain fog has receded but I just feel so lost.

Oddity: models sometimes get tripped up by URL encoding
When working on code that references URL encoding, sometimes models become very confused. This specific example was with GLM 5.2.

Just came off Abilify and feeling low
Had hoped it would improve my mood, but it just caused breathing difficulty and brain fog. I really was unprepared. Now I'll have to have my medication reviewed again and hope whatever changes are made have a positive outcome.

Mixed feelings about having freedom
I really thought I would end up in jail for computer hacking, almost hoping I would, thinking it might cause some positive change for me.
And I did end up getting caught and the charges seemed pretty serious at first. But the case dragged on and got weaker rather than stronger. In the end, the judge was extremely lenient and I just had to pay a small fine.
I saw what an unhealthy circle of adulation I had been getting from hacking, and it put me off it completely.
Now I feel I'm out of my depth in the sea, struggling to keep waves from going over me. Years pass, but each somehow feels without end.
I wish I was so much more than what I am.

Waiting on clarity
It feels like I'm changing medications all the time. In reality, there are months and months in between. I keep experiencing more side effects than benefits. Hoping for some kind of breakthrough soon...
