Thrift Store Haul. $1.80/per

There were a handful of other ties I'll go back for in a week or two. But these were the ones I had to grab with this week's budget.

Assistant Branch Manager Beacon Bank

Hey fellow bank people.

Have an in person interview next week for ABM of Beacon bank. The branch is literally 5 minutes from my front door and it would be a title and pay bump.

I'm currently a banker at a different bank little over 6 years industry experience, starting as a teller then getting to senior UB before moving and getting the banker job. I'm a notary, have my nmls.

Anyone have any insight to the role or bank?

Best way to resell ties

Just trying to get this communities opinion on a thought I had.

My local thrift store sells ties for sub $5, as such I go a couple times a month and buy a couple ties as a treat and a bit of a hobby at this point.

I've been thinking about selling some ties on eBay (for a flat $5) that I've worn once or twice. Not trying to really make money but more or less feed my hobby and get a bit of play money here and there.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I've never sold anything on eBay before so general advice would be appreciated as well.

Best MTG shop for buying

Hey everyone,

Looking to get back into magic the gathering. Trying to find my cards ATM but gonna need some newer cards no matter what.

That said what's the best place to *BUY* Magic cards? Like who has the best selection and/or is easiest to work with. Would rather hand a list of cards to someone at a local shop than order everything off tcg player.

There are shops around me to play but none of them are really devoted to MTG as a store so don't have a lot of bulk.

Snap Wexley, unsung hero of The Resistance

I just finished my run through the sequel trilogy era of audiobooks. I have to say I was shocked how frequently Snap showed up, especially in the novelizations.

Going in chronological order I first met Snap in the Aftermath Trilogy. While I enjoyed the trilogy over all (personally think it's overhated but that's a different post) Snap was one of the more memorable characters and I enjoyed his arch. It was interesting to watch how he progressed as a character.

The we hit TFA and he pops up out of nowhere! I had to go load up the movie and march the lines to what was attributed to Snap in the novelization and there he was.

Then he's a main character in Rise of the Resistance where we seem him recruit Wedge and Norah back into the fight.

Lastly (so far) we come to the final chapter. Having only watched the movie a couple times I couldn't remember full details about The Rise of Skywalker so the novelization was nice to experience. There were certainly plenty of scenes I didn't remember or half remembered. But our boy Snap is present again.

All this time he has been with the Resistance. I was caught off guard when he died in The Battle of Exogal. He had been such a main stay character of the sequel that I thought he would show up in the celebration scenes. When he had just enough time to look at the holo of his wife I was so upset.

You are remembered Snap!

Food Bank Etiquette

So after realizing that paying for the car repairs I need would either drain half my savings or max out my credit card I think it's finally time I loon for help.

That said I've made the decision to finally go to the food pantry for the first time in both mine and my wife's lives.

I don't know what the etiquette is. Should I call ahead and make an appointment? Do I need to bring bags?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just finished the audiobook for a pirate's price.

It was a fun quick between Ep. 8&9 novelizations. As a Hondo fan I enjoyed it. That said I don't know how much I would have enjoyed this as a traditional book. I know it's a ya/junior story but I've done plenty of them that have held my attention (THR). Having the audiobook be narrated by Jim Cummings saved this for me.

Listening to Hondo it very much felt like the framing device. That he was sitting next to me telling me these stories about him and the times he's encountered the Falcon.

And yes I know it's a tie in for the ride. Has anyone been on it?
