Does anyone have the Pawspik cat feeder? Question about material

People who have the Pawspik, is the sliding cover solid or slatted? Would it keep the food inside from being exposed to the air?

I’m looking at the Surefeed and the Pawspik and I found a good deal on a secondhand Pawspik, the thing is tho I feed only wet food, and what I want it for is two things:

  1. to contain the smell of wet food, and
  2. to keep the wet food from drying out (and keep it from attracting flies)

I like the design of the Pawspik better than Surefeed mostly because it has the removable stainless steel bowl, but the thing is I can’t tell if the slatted sliding cover thing is actually solid or if it’s kind of a grate that wouldn’t really tightly contain the food inside.

Any advice about this would be appreciated and pics/videos that show the cover would be awesome! ty! :)

help is this an invasive australian wasp in the US?

i found this wasp inside (midwest US) and trapped it in this trapper thing and the only thing online that looks like it is from australia?? the australian one is the banded caterpillar parasite wasp, it’s not quite the same tho. same yellow and black stripe antenna, orange and black legs, white spot on back, but this one has an orange abdomen with black stripes and less white on it. it’s also pretty small like a large ant, i’m pretty sure it’s a wasp tho because it has that long skinny waist like wasps have.

i don’t want to release it outside if it somehow is invasive from australia, thanks in advance!!
