Wynn Acquisitions — HARTFORD, CT is a TOTAL scam. Do NOT BOTHER.
I applied for an AT&T Sales Representative role, job posting specified base pay was $22-28 an hour. Base pay. I’m familiar with marketing (ethically done) although my career is in administration / HR, and I desperately need a new job, so the pay and job description sounded awesome!
Fast forward to the day after I applied, and I got selected for a first interview, second interview was the day after, and they told me the base pay is $17 an hour ($680 a week BEFORE taxes) and I would only earn commission IF I made more commission than I would earn for base pay, most commission models will give you the commission regardless. Current job I get commissions per sale onto my check, not dependent on whether I made more in sales or base pay.
They also informed me that I would only be promoted once I successfully recruited and promoted 2 other people. That sounds like an MLM to me. I asked the interviewer what my day to day job would look like/where I would report and she told me that I would exclusively be working in a BJs. I was confused, and she told me that “in office” for me wouldn’t apply until closer to 6 months after I “learn the job and can train other people.”
All of the red flags present so I ran here, and there were a few other posts about them. Since they are actively hiring and recruiting I wanted to talk about it here, also, very annoyed that these companies blatantly waste your time!
