I have a regulator and a neat place to keep it. If I swapped the relief valve with the gas inlet it would sit nicely along my shelf. if not it is upside down. Can I do that?
Also can I post pictures to this group?
I have the XBOX version running already but it is a few versions old and I cannot get shaders to work. Can I use the cross platform version and install the same way?
Work want me to train to do T&T, the first company I looked at require me to have a $995 machine to learn on. This is simultaneously fair enough and quite a lot upfront for one task but it is my employers money.
Are there any training companies to avoid and do I really need to spend $995+ on a glorified multimeter?
Thanks in advance
I am happy with the hardware, the mobile apps etc. but my main PC is a mac and the app crashes frequently so I would like an alternative. Happy to pay for it, I need faster recall, more stability and support for at least 50 cameras please
Hi all, it is winter here in the southern hemisphere and my garage/brewroom is about 8 degrees C.
I brew on a heat mat set to about 23-25C then secondary on the shelf.
As it is pretty cold my beer has been staying flat so I put it on the mat at 18C for a few days and that has helped, should I aim a little warmer for secondary? The rest of the house is warm, around 25C but the family don’t want bottles everywhere all winter!
So many modern devices that are plenty large enough to hold AA batteries use AAA for some reason. I’m talking lights, thermostats, connected sensors etc. Mostly AliExpress home automation and novelty toys
They are big enough to have room for larger batteries, the voltage is the same but they have tiny batteries that need replacing more often.
The sellers don’t include the cells, they cost the same to buy replacements because packaging and shipping so why use the smaller cell?
I just changed the packs in a novelty light the size of a pint glass, THERE IS ROOM.
So why so many AA cells in the Chinese devices?
Aliexpress link sorry -

I have this, can I use it as a spunding valve? further, can I adapt it to fit a sodastream cylinder?
Hi all, trying out a Desperados homage this week. IYDK it’s a fairly sweet lager with flavours of lemon and tequila. Alcopops more or less.
Plan is to split the 20 litre brew at 3/4 days and steep the zest of two lemons in a couple of shots of tequila and introduce to one or both barrels so I can A/B test.
IG is 1.062, to keep the slight sweetness intact should I cold crash at say, 1.010? I usually let the ferment run its course and that mostly taps out at 1.005.
Cheers all!
Yes, I see the patterns in my requests and clearly I need to talk to someone about it.
I cannot be sure if the OBI was dark authoritarian Viz or light hearted 2000AD.
I very much enjoyed the Winston Churchill strip, also the wartime tommies clogging the bosch bogs.
Any more where they came from please?
My car is a bit too modern for its own good and has no provision for a spare. If I have the trailer on I can chuck a spare in there but if not, is there such a thing as a spare tyre carrier to go in a square hitch?
Yes, it will look stupid. So stupid.
...or dialogue to that effect, resulting I believe in biffa and fatha hoying bricks at the fire brigade as their house burns down.
Grateful thanks in advance.
Hi all, we need a small minibus/people mover for around Hamilton and the occasional run out on the highway. I have looked at leasing but we might only need it for a year and they usually want 3+ years so now I am looking into buying an older one and getting it inspected, serviced and so on before we use it.
I have not used ICE vehicles for a few years so I am a bit out of touch now but my gut tells me the smaller petrol engines will be underpowered and even the bigger v6 might be a bit light as we will be carting around some pretty big lads. The turbo diesel should be more powerful and fuel efficient but does diesel need much more servicing as it will be short runs most of the time?
TLDR - how long does it take for dog urine to dry out?
Backstory - One of my short term tenants kept his dog in this bedroom (we do not allow pets in this building, he didn't ask anyway) and the dog pissed and shitted on the carpet enough that we have removed it to be replaced.
When the carpet fitters removed the underlay they found a very wet patch in the floor so we sent in the builder and the plumber. They both found nothing amiss apart from a patch of significant cat pee under the location of the damp spot. No signs of water on the floor underneath, some pipes pass under but they are not leaking.
Plumber cut a hole in the wall to see if it was coming in from the bathroom, everything is bone dry there. It has been left to dry for about a week then I have been across the wall, ceiling, timber, in the wall cavity, all around the window timbers and all around the spot with my moisture tester and it only reads damp at the dark spot whereupon it goes over the scale of my tester.
Is it possible that with over a week exposed in a warm but currently not heated house (it is vacant until we resolve this) that this is still the dog pee? Tenant abandoned about a month ago but carpet covered this and we assumed it was the shite and the cleaning solution.
This is not the same house I posted about last time. *sigh.
