I'm a burntout Software engineer and want to try out tutoring to see if it's a fit for me and my lifestyle. Is there a market for teaching CS (Python, DataScience, Databases) to students? Eventually I can pickup Maths and maybe Physics too. But want an easy start and to leverage what I know in CS. For existing tutors, is this very saturated? Can I standout even if its remote?
I have an active H1B, but looking to join another company A that doesn't sponsor but is ok to hire contractors. Can I find a B staffing company to file an H1B and be an interface to work for A ?
Is this possible? i've been trying and failing, it seems way harder than hitting the gym. I'm forced to AI at work. At home, I sit to code with intention to write everything by hand and when looking for documentation, I instantly gravitate to LLM. Part of this could be I've chose a new language that I'm unfamiliar with (Rust).
If you've a solution that gets me back part time to the pre-LLM days, I'm all ears.
Edit: Lots saying to just code without AI. I know that, but being forced to use AI in the day job makes it tricky.
I can't figure out why exactly, but even though an H1B is for 3 years, DMV seems to cut short that date for some weird reason around previous payment validity etc, but I end up going almost every year to renew my license. Not to mention if you manage to get a stamping done for H1b, then its another trip to DMV to get license as RealID.
Is this common for you or am I missing something?
Is there one? I feel like there should be one. TB/RD etc are supposed to be Torrent caches. But the service itself can go down. Atleast while watching something in between like a long TV series or movies too, it will be great to have something that can locally download the content. I watch everything on a minipc hooked to TV so have no issues with Space for a couple of 'current watches'. Curious if you need this too or have solved it?
Edit: lots of folks are saying to manually download the file. Yeah that's not the point, it should be seamless and automatic is what I am looking for.
Thing died a year ago and now resurrected. It runs very hot even on low load. I've tried cleaning the fan. Do I need to throttle the CPU profile? I'm also going to try the thermal paste. Wondering if there's an alternate case I can purchase and avoid some hassle.
I know this is low support tier, but I need to change the payment method on this one. The portal option errors out.
Anyone bag an offer? Market looks bleak. All the portals have the same jobs and nobody responses. Is this your experience too?
