Chessnut Go owners, is it worth it?

I'm thinking about buying it as my first eboard. Well priced, portable to take it with me, and compatible with several apps to play.

Am I missing something or is it as good as it seems?

Thanks!

Is it possible to change the battery for a new one at home?

I have my Air+ in the way and one of the worries I have is the battery sooner or later all of them die.

How easy is to change the battery? Anyone has tried? Any tutorial?

Thanks!

Just bought an Air +, what apps do you recommend?

I'm a beginner learning chess and found a good deal for an air +, so couldn't help myself and bought it as I mainly play online and don't have people to play otb.

I already have chesscom, lichess, white pawn and chess dojo in my phone/tablet, any other good software I should get to be ready when it arrives?

Thanks

What are your favorite android free apps?

I've been training for a couple of months, mainly using chesscom and lichess to learn + Levy's first book.

I was wondering what apps are out there that offer different ways of training than lichess and chesscom. I tried chessbook and seems decent to learn openings.

Which ones are your favorites or do you think are the best? Extra bonus if they're free.

I always used Xbox controllers, but when last one started drifting it was enough. I want to buy a new one but not sure how the transition from the Xbox to Steam (si metric) will be

Anyone that has done the change? Still comfortable in the hands?

Recommend me an eboard

I'm getting into chess and atm I don't have many people to play with, so mostly play online.

I would like to buy an eboard to practice OTB, but not sure what options I have in the market that are worth it.

If possible I would like it to not break the bank as this will be my first board and compatible with chess.com and lichess.

Thanks!

Tactics and general mid/endgame ideas

I believe I really have to work on these before moving to learn openings properly.

As a diamond member, what are the best resources in chessdotcom for this? Still a noob, so still learning where is everything, so much content!

London and Caro

Your friendly newbie is back looking for some feedback. I'm at 400, focusing in not doing so many mistakes and lots of puzzles atm with some games against bots and unranked.

I have decided to start looking into openings and middle game while I'm at it, and seems like London System and Caro-Kann are solid to start in my chess learning.

What you think fam? Which 2 would you recommend for a noob in his 40s?

Is there any way to do courses in app?

Your friendly newbie neighbour is back.

Just discovered courses on the website (I mainly use the app) a few days ago, and they seem great for someone like me at 400. Those are helping me improve a lot.

The thing is I can't find them in my mobile app, is it something you can only use on your pc? I love going out to enjoy the day and play some random games or do some lessons under the sun, would be nice to have that option in the app.

Also, any other interesting stuff I can only do on PC and I may have missed?

Thanks fam

Good sharpener

I have a couple of Opinel knives, inbox and carbone.

I want to buy a decent sharpener to keep the edge, but don't want to spend anything crazy, what would you recommend?

Best use of diamond to improve

I'm new to chess, always found it boring but not sure why something clicked in me and I'm enjoying learning (and even losing, as far as I learn from it) loads.

I got chess.com one year at 50% (personally seems like a great deal, but would appreciate if we don't debate it here) and would like to know what steps would you recommend a noob to follow to improve, from 263 elo onwards (yeah I'm low, loads to improve ahead)

Right path to learn chess

I always liked chess, but never got into it. Now at my 40s I discovered chess.com and lichess recently and having fun with those, so I decided to give it a go.

I just know the basics and would like to improve and learn to become better. What would you recommend me to start with and focus at the beginning?

I also bought "How to win at chess" book by Levy Rozman, should arrive this week.

Thanks!
