Why has Blackpool Council not invested in... Blackpool?

Why has Blackpool Council not invested in Blackpool? I love going to Blackpool, but every year I go it looks more and more depressing. I go out on to the piers, broken, dirty, old, disgusting.

What are Blackpool Council actually spending money on? When I think about a modern Blackpool, I think each pier has a theme, think Gravity Max in Liverpool spread across three piers. The entire front affordable rates and rent for innovative and traditional hotspots such as the £1 bingo. They can't even keep their Theme Park up to date!!

Blackpool as a year round tourism attraction, yet the council has allowed it to rot away.

Three Girls / Bethany & Nathan

I was watching Three Girls as this type of thing has been in the news a lot lately. It reminded me of Coronation Streets attempt to do the PC version of this real life story with Bethany and Nathan. What was the reception like at the time of Corrie airing this, as it'd have been relatively fresh in terms of media coverage. Was anything said about it being the "PC version" ie; white people. How did they handle it in terms of Coronation Street being a Manchester based soap and what did the general public think about the storyline and comparisons?

It's like it almost refuses to do the job?

Can anyone help? I've been working with ChatGPT but for the last two - three months I've found it kind of refuses to do the work, it kind of goes around the houses and I have to really think hard about my prompts for it to generate simple outputs. Almost as if it's trying to preserve energy and think of ways to continue the conversation without it actually having to do work. Then when it does output, it's limited. I feel like it's doing a poor job to keep me on the platform, but it's actually driving me away.

45 hours to learn how to drive?

20 years ago, you could pass your test with 20 lessons at 1 hour a lesson.

I'm now seeing driving instructors charging £35 - £45 for 50 minutes and suggesting 45 hours tuition!!

My kids want driving lessons, they can have 15 - 20 lessons, but 45 seems a bit to much! What has changed?
