You’d think with AI so prevalent, it’d be used to target ads to, ya know, people who don’t already live here.

(Not blaming VB. Reddit needs to get its shit together.)

Is my spigot done for?

ETA: thanks everyone! Im going to put the new one on and hope it doesn’t leak. If it does, I’ll call a plumber.

My husband used a god damned pipe wrench (without removing the set screw) to manhandle the leaking vacuum breaker from the outdoor spigot.

As you can see the threads were shaved off. Do I need to have the whole spigot replaced before adding a new vacuum breaker?

(Pic of the new VB included for easy comparison of the threads.)

TIL after being dismissed as “rapping Proclaimers” during auditions, an early 2000’s Scottish hip-hop duo took on American identities, pretending to be from California. They kept up the ruse long enough to get a deal with Sony, appear on MTV, and tour with Eminem’s group before they were found out.

Do you feel that alternate spellings of your name are completed disconnected from your own?

There are at least 15 homophone variations of my name but the other spellings feel as different to me as an entirely different name. (i.e. Michaela, McKayla) Do you connect more to the visual or aural part of yours?

(Bonus: When I order Starbucks or similar I like to see what they come up with. Sort of like a mini poll on the most popular spelling. What do you do when you order?)

Please help me find out what happened.

My friend was in a serious accident on Indian River Rd. last month and can’t remember anything about it. She was first told that she was side swiped by a man in a Ram truck attempting to get over to the 64 on-ramp. Later she was told it was her fault and that it was a woman in a Toyota Corolla. We just want to get to the bottom of it.

She has a very recognizable vehicle so hopefully someone remembers something.
