Back of Baba Yaga's hut

Just found this sub!! I was pretty proud of my back but after looking at some of the posts on here it appears I still have a long way to go 😅

[SELF-PROMO] Baba is at it again!

I'm so excited to share my first ever "official" self-drafted pattern! I'm Kat, this is a new account but I have been a member of this community for many years on my personal account (mostly lurking and getting inspired by everyone's incredible projects). I love how wonderful everyone on here is, it's literally my favourite community on reddit and it makes me so motivated and excited to stitch!

I have been an avid cross stitcher my entire life (one of my iconic childhood memories was getting told off for cross stitching in class, if that tells you anything). I'm into other arts too like watercolour and pencil, and I'm a massive lover of all things pixel art – so I often make and stitch my own designs.

Last month I was randomly overcome by a witchy /whimsical baba yaga / slavic floklore urge, and created this weird little piece. I'm really in love with it and for the first time I felt really proud of a design I made and felt worthy of sharing. So I decided to properly frame it, take some artsy photos and make it into an actual pattern! I have put it up on Etsy, it's my first ever cross-stitch related listing, but I hope to keep adding some others in the future. My shop is https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/CosyHollow

Included some close ups of the stitches and the little owl, and obligatory back pic. I hope you guys like it!

AI disclaimer: absolutely no AI involvement and no use of any pattern generation tools etc. The design was complately hand pixelated by me on my iPad, then hand stitched by me.
