Just starting a big piece

I would love any constructive criticism!

This is my first piece that I am actually planning on entering to the fair.

Is this going to be too messy?

Started off with good intentions, but ended up stringing the confetti together when it got overwhelming

A gift for the bestie 🥰

I give myself a B- 😂😂 done in 1 thread of DMC, 1 thread of DualDutyXP, and 1 thread of Wonderfil Invisafil 100wt. Bestie turned out great, but my dog looks like a blob 😂

Victorian street

I was once laughed at and shamed for the appearance of the back of a project I have never shown the back of anything…until now.

Lassie's portrait back & front

This is a project I finished like 3 years ago but just found the backside pictures and wanted to share it with you all!

Mother’s Day gift for my mom :)

We used to have an embroidery piece hanging at my childhood home of a goose and some goslings. My grandmother had made one for my mom and each of her siblings. I decided to do my own take on it (representing mom, sib, and I ) with a cute chicken pattern I found.

She’s finished y’all!

A portrait of my dog done in 1 thread of DMC, 1 thread of Dual Duty XP, and 1 thread of Wonderfil 100wt on cream muslin 😮‍💨

I don't know how you all do it, but this is probably my cleanest backside

I don't start with knots, those are naturally occuring knots that I don't notice until it's too late. I don't cross stitch often and am truly amazed by a lot of the work I see here, front and back

I’m guilty of starting threads with knots

Sometimes I’m honestly just too lazy to start a thread by tucking it under other stitches at the back. Usually I’ll loop start but if I’ve cut the thread and saved it to use again I’m starting it with a knot
