Yet another SEG question!

I submitted my SEG application a few weeks ago and I’m still waiting for a start date. I understand that it will be backdated so that good news. I’ve never exported before and wondered if there is a limit to the amount you can sell and is there a time window for when you can export? I presume you can’t export on free electricity Sundays? Any other advice very welcome! Thanks

Have EDF electricity, is it worth having gas too?

We have switched our electricity supply to EDF Go as we have solar and a battery and a couple of electric cars.

Our gas is still supplied by another company.

Is there any real advantage of swapping to EDF, and if so which is the best way to do it to maximise any cashback bonuses?

Thanks

Newbie question re charging EV and battery

I am really new to solar and EVs and quite confused! We have 2 EVs, one of which needs charging pracically every night. We are on the EDF Go package which is cheaper from 11pm to 6am. We have one Ohme charger. Is it possible to charge both the EV and the storage battery at the same time, or one after the other, and if so how do I set that up on the app?! Thanks

Switching providers mid contract - help please!

We are with EE and have shockingly poor broadband in our area.

To make matters worse our house has dodgy wifi as signals don't seem to make it to every room. We use tenda mw6's but still not much joy.

BUT full fibre has arrived and we will be able to get up to 900MB/S.

I looked into upgrading with EE but they want far more than joining other providers.

However we would have to pay £200 to leave EE so I'd love to find a deal that gives a payment towards that.

Please can anyone recommend a decent full fibre provider that gives a gift card deal and a switch payment and also reasonably priced full home wifi guarantee?!

Sorry that sounds like I am asking for the earth but I hope there's someone out there that fulfils that list, cheers

UC for a Shared Lives young adult

Our foster child has turned 18 and he should have moved on to independent living.

Due to his physical and mental disabilities he isn’t ready to leave and we are happy for him to stay with us under the Shared Lives scheme.

This process of changing from a foster child to vulnerable adult has been a nightmare logistically. His birthday was at the start of March and he hasn’t received any Universal Credit payments yet and we haven’t been paid either.

The DWP people at the job centre don’t seem to know what Shared Lives is and keep saying he isn’t entitled to UC as he is on a foundation course at college.

We’ve explained that he is unlikely to ever be able to work and have doctors have said the same.

They say that as he is at “home” he isn’t entitled to any payment.

He is supposed to pay towards his board and lodgings according to the Shared Lives Scheme.

We have just been informed he will receive UC but less than his rent is supposed to be and doesn’t give him any funds to live on.

He currently receives PIP.

Please does anyone have any experience of Shared Lives and UC and PIP with a vulnerable adult and what he should be entitled to?

Thanks
