Is a bridge necessary after tooth extraction?

Hello, I had a failed RCT a few years ago and got a crown on my right molar which came out two months ago. That tooth was severely infected and had a large pus sac that also came out with the tooth extraction.

My dentist gave me two options: either get a bridge using the next molar or get an implant (I'm not sure what the correct word is).

So is it absolutely necessary to get a bridge? I get severe anxiety and am also short on time as I have to move abroad where dental care is more expensive.

TIA

I'm a woman, and with quite a few men, I've always had this sort of experience. Right at the beginning of the relationship/talking stage, they'd already label me as a wife. None of my friends have ever had experiences like this, and I wonder what this even means?

Most recent and craziest was having a guy say flirtingly 'well because you're my wife now' just 1 hour into meeting him at a party. Are you men just skipping the dating stage or is there some deeper difference with these labels?
