This summer is going to be very tough for me to watch any games live.
Listening would definitely be a possibility - in some cases. But games aren't carried on any radio stations that I know of.
I was thinking of asking OS if they would be interested in posting live audio streams as podcasts or YT videos, or both? It might promote the subscription service to more people too.
Does anyone think there would be any interest for this from them or even fans? Like real old school - games over the radio type of thing?
Yes, I could always just listen to the video live - but that uses more battery. And I couldn't close the phone down like a podcast or similar method of listening to audio only.
I'm now ignoring what their league is and whatever "rank" they might be labelled with and just curious to see who comes out of this on top.
I'm surprised by this to say the least.

I enter the numbers. They all get calculated in the same manner and are normalized and weighted in the same way.
I am really looking forward to what Cavalry can do against the Whitecaps.
Same with Vancouver or Langley against Montreal.
And whichever club comes out of the 'CPL' side - or can CS Saint-Laurent make an incredible run - and take down most likely the Caps? But will Cavalry have an Ottleti moment?

u/Wilco499 pointed out that it was odd that CF Montréal was lower than Supra - when seeing that they led in many categories.
I went in and saw that I had used the wrong column for the recoveries category - using the actual stat values instead of the normalized values (normalized compresses the numbers down to values between 0 to 1 - so basically a percentage).
Because of this, Defence was this huge weighted value that made Supra more powerful than they were. And lowered other teams - like Montréal - even more than should be happening.
Thanks Wilco499.
My bad everyone. Apologies.
As mentioned in the past - just a fan, data enthusiast, not data scientist who likes to do this. I share it because I figure someone else might like seeing it. Mistakes will be made. But hopefully they get ironed out soon enough.
There's no real point to the form or the standings. Just want to remind TFC of how poorly they handled this tournament.
Added some more columns. Improvement?
I think I am gonna cancel my Apple+ subscription. It's pointless supporting TFC if they are going to play like this.

So reading through the replies of this thread, I thought my question warranted a discussion of its own.
I assume there are plenty of members here with hot takes and some others with informed opinions.
Considering how many of CanMNT players play or formerly played (this is an important one to me) in MLS, what would be a better move for a gifted CPL player?
Considering that Davies, Buchanan, Bombito, Cornelius, Koné, Larin, Oluwasaeyi, JRR, Johnston all plied their trade first in MLS before moving to Europe.
And only Pepple went from here to Europe "successfully" that I can think of? Edit: Poku was doing well before injury as well.
And judging by the number of CPL players that went to Europe only to come back here shortly after...
Should players not be encouraged to get red hot in the CPL in the hopes of earning MLS contracts before moving on to Europe?
There was a typo in the sheet in how I was aggregating each team's weekly score to sum up the overall.
This is the fixed overall.
Based on the last two matches of this current week 5;
Getting closer and closer to a 5 week form power rating.
I've updated things to reflect that. Since posting standings here doesn't contain any sort of head to head difference - I decided to include the amount of goals for per game and goals against per game to show who's doing well on all metrics.
I've pulled in goals against as a metric used to judge a team's defence and to judge how well a keeper is doing. Goals scored included in the midfield as well. Sorted discipline by number or reds and yellows - before score.
Personal observations. Other teams hate Forge and foul them the most (fouls in the final third). Inter Toronto seems to be the worst offender and it may cost them further into the season.
Forge should be scoring more? But maybe they have a more selfish mindset in the final third? There are no recorded assists as of yet.
If Cavalry can get their backline to gel more - they're going to be a juggernaut this season. But something isn't working there.
Pacific's defence seems to be doing something right? They're the leakiest defence in the league - but it likely could be a LOT worse. If someone from the backline gets hurt - it will likely be a lot worse. (Or maybe some new signing will step up?)
